What I like best about the system is that it truly has everything we need — there’s nothing missing. The QuickBooks integration works seamlessly, which makes our financial tracking effortless. Honestly, any time there’s something I dislike or think could be improved, I reach out to the ConstructionOnline team and they always do their best to address it. Our company has relied on UDA Construction Online for 15 years, and we've grown alongside COL during that time. As a general contractor, nearly all of our needs have been met by the platform. One of UDA's greatest strengths is their accessibility and responsiveness whenever we've had questions or required assistance.

We requested what we believe to be a minor accounting adjustment—a rounding issue that appears straightforward but still hasn't been resolved. While it may seem insignificant, this problem creates complications that require manual corrections, which should not be necessary. Because of this, we have stopped using the AIA pay application feature, even though it was one of the main reasons we initially chose this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WB&P required the use of a program that would allow us to manage a $1B+ development on virgin land that would consist of numerous users with various levels of sophistication of using a program. Our program team consisted of engineers, hydrologists and land planners who were very familiar using programs; to owners, board members and lawyers who had never used a system with the capabilities of COL. We chose Construction OnLine since it provided all the structure and capabilities that we had decided was critical to the project and allowed us to incorporate the appropriate team member access to data. This feature provided the ability to store sensitive financial information such as invoices etc.

COL’s program was easy to learn especially utilizing the short training modules and the “chat” feature which provided immediate assistance by subject matter experts eliminating downtime. We were quickly able to get schedules, program contact info, estimates and “to do’s” up and running. The engineers, hydrologists and land planners ability to upload large files, drawings and models with versions stored was critical in project coordination since team members were in various parts of the country. Once construction started, the ability for contractors and field personnel to record daily logs, upload photos, and perform checklist directly on their phones, or tablets provided efficiencies that allowed them to remain on site longer.

From a management perspective the ability to customize reports and pull data, photos all from one integrated system allowed increase visibility and accuracy of consistent reporting.

Finally, the program manager and me, deputy program manager, was impressed with our Construction OnLine Representatives checking in with us and encouraging us submit upgrades to the program that would make managing a large program more efficient.

We’ve been using Construction Online for years, and it's a big help in managing our projects. The new interface is straightforward, so our team picked it up quickly without a lot of training. What I really like is how easy it is to track progress and keep everyone on the same page. There are still a few features we’re learning to take full advantage of, but overall it’s been a great tool for streamlining our workflow. The constant adding of tools and optional add-ons which mean I can customize my experience and level of depth that I want to dive into. We have been using UDA's software for over a decade now and made the switch the online version several years ago. I've checked around for alternatives and was unable to find anything as feature-rich and complete as ConstructionOnline for our use case. Redline Planroom is especially helpful in estimating and marking up plans and communicating with our sub trades.

Other reviewers have mentioned the possibly excessive number of clicks to navigate the interface, and while I can see where the comment is coming from, for myself, that issue is resolved by opening a few tabs and jumping between them as needed.

As a Canadian user, the conversation to CAD makes an already premium product feel even more expensive. Being able to pick and choose modules, something that was recently, at the time of writing, made available, has greatly helped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the versatility & customization abilities of the product.

Particularly love how I can upload docs or files to UDA ConstructionOnline and then have the ability to add them to any project within the system -- this is so much easier than having to manually upload items to every project.

The only thing I dislike it how many times you have to click to get to places in the system.

I really appreciate the good support provided during the comprehensive setup of UDA ConstructionOnline. The platform's ability to integrate effectively with cloud-based services like Google and Office 365 is crucial for managing our company information and executing workflows properly. I find the estimating workflows and permitting features to be particularly useful for our business operations. Additionally, the overall construction of the platform is robust and well-constructed, which allows us to automate certain processes that significantly aid in our day-to-day operations. This robustness and the breadth of coverage across various areas are major factors contributing to my likelihood of repurchase. The setup process of UDA ConstructionOnline is comprehensive, which might imply some complexity or a steep learning curve initially. Additionally, there is a challenge related to ensuring seamless integrations with cloud-based service providers such as Google, Office 365, and OneDrive, which seems essential for executing workflows effectively. The ease of use and the fact that if I want to get to a certain section, it's only a few clicks to get to the specific section. The fact that there is a customer service chat option immediately available, as well as the ConstructionOnline staff being incredibly responsive to emails is great also. The time it takes to upload and recognize page numbers and labels etc. Also if a plan set has multiple pages with the page numbers in different locations, it doesn't always recognize part of the set and then you have to select each page one by one that you want to check again. We really like the timeline feature that lets us plan our workflow and then update it as field changes are implemented. The to do's keep us on track with tasks and can be linked to the timeline to show overall project progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like how it's easy to create and track change order along with their costs. It's also very continent to be able to create one of the change order log reports and have it populated with corresponding information per project.

The website seems to bug out for maybe 20 minutes per day at any given time where the website doesn't really work. I also really dislike that when you start a change order, and the power goes out or if you accidentally close the browser that there is no autosave up to whatever current point you mare at.
