From 2000 to 2007 Shane was the CEO of an indie record label named Nexus Records. At it's highest point the label had a roster of over a dozen people, including artists, support, and administrative staff. The label was headquartered in downtown Detroit's Ford Building, along with another satellite office in northwest Detroit. The label produced 4 CD's and the artists had logged nearly 400 live performances during the label's existence, with Shane being an onstage hype-man at virtually all of them. In 2004, Nexus Records had won the "Best Live Performance" category at the Detroit Hip-Hop Awards.
