      In contrast to the norm for animation, the cast recorded their voice roles together in groups rather than independently from one another. A single recording session could include up to seven actors. This environment allowed for the cast to play off each other as well as employ a lot of improvisation in their performances.

      According to Seth Rogen, "For every session, we lumped people together. We really went out of our way and bent over backward to try to capture that improvisational energy you get when a lot of people are in the same place at the same time."

      Master Splinter: [grumbles] You forgot, huh? You don't remember why humans are disgusting monsters? Why they're dangerous? Why they're gonna milk us for our blood?

      Michelangelo: They don't want to milk us dad.

      Donatello: Again with the milking...

      Raphael: We don't even have nipples!

      Master Splinter: You know what? I'm gonna tell the story again.

    Actual teenagers

    Prior to showering it with compliments, I'd like to address a couple of minor criticisms. To begin with, Splinter underwent significant changes from the familiar and beloved character. Certain villains were left with insufficient screen time to truly shine, and Raphael's anger wasn't adequately explored.

    Moving on to the positives: The animation boasted exceptional uniqueness, accompanied by superb pacing. The humor was genuinely delightful, and the turtles authentically conveyed their teenage nature through their dialogue. The voice acting was skillfully executed, capturing both the tone and essence of teenage voices. Particularly notable was Jackie Chan's portrayal of Master Splinter, which stood out significantly. Overall, this movie provides a highly enjoyable viewing experience.
