[Lewis stops Trevor from mooning people]
Lewis Skolnick: Trevor, it isn't nice to moon.
Trevor Gulf: Oh, it isn't?
Lewis Skolnick: No, it isn't.
Trevor Gulf: Mr. Ogre mooned.
Lewis Skolnick: Well, you see Trevor, Mr. Ogre is a converted nerd, ok? He used to be a jock so he's still a little rough around the edges.
Trevor Gulf: Jacques, is he from France?

* (out of 4)
Booger (Curtis Armstrong) is about to be married but his future father-in-law doesn't like him because (shock) he's a nerd. Soon the other nerds from the first film are back and find themselves in yet another fight to be accepted as real people. I must admit that this here is a major step-up from the third film but that's really not saying much and in the end we're left with yet another cheap, made-for-TV flick that falls flat on its face in terms of badness. The lack of real laughs is the deadliest thing here as once again the producer's go through all the trouble of getting the original cast back together yet they give them absolutely nothing to work with. The screenplay goes for all of the obvious jokes but this time out they're just boring and unfunny. Seriously, how many times can we see the same nerds put into the same situation and having the same outcome? I almost drowned when I was a kid once and I remember struggling in the water but of course not being able to do anything since there was nothing to grab onto. No matter how hard I tried it was just a lost cause. That thought passed through my head while watching this film because you can tell that the entire cast are trying their hardest to make this thing work but they simply have nothing to work with and you can't help but see the entire film go under. Robert Carradine, Julia Montgomery, James Cromwell and Donald Gibb are just some of the returning crew. Ted McGinley also makes a few quick (and cheap) appearances here. The entire plot is quite predictable but there are a few minor laughs to be had here but in the end you still have to put this into the really bad, really stupid ideas bracket.
