As an avid fan of Daily Show and Last Week Tonight I have long been waiting for a another show in the same league but with a different flavor of comedy, and an alternative perspective.
Jim Jefferies delivers a witty but often deeply insightful look at news and world issues.

Jim Jefferies is one the funniest natural comedians currently out there and one of the few who tackles big issues in his own unique style. Though the first episode was still a little rough around the edges it was still funnier than anything fake Jimmy Fallon or Seth Meyers has ever done. Give Jim time- this show could be a hit.

I give this show a 09 out of 10. The reason is because it blends real hard hitting, important, recent and at times controversial news stories with Jim's AMAZING witty and sarcastic humor. He also, makes the news understandable and able to be listened too by people that normally cannot stand listening to the regular news because it can be very boring. Jim isn't afraid of the hot button things to talk about either and I LOVE that!! He is new to this hosting thing and I am sure he will settle in AMAZINGLY after a few episodes. You could tell he was nervous on the pilot episode. He clearly cares about the USA ad all of us in it clearly. I couldn't give it a hard 10 yet because the topics he discusses in certain episodes just need more time and aren't able to be properly untangled within the time he is given. I would love to see an entire hour of this show instead of 30 minutes. I don't want to write this too long because people will lose interest and stop reading. So I will close with the fact that this is an AMAZING SHOW AND I LOVE IT VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are a Trump supporter and believe big oil should be in charge of the environment, mexicans belong on the other side of a big wall and teachers need guns you probably wont appreciate this. He dumbs down the humour for the US market quite a bit but there is nuance that a higher class of fan will still appreciate. Due to the once a week slot structure you'll see a few jokes that the other late night stars made first but he often has a fresh take on them which is pretty difficult in such a convoluted market. Jim is doing a very decent job as he tries to find his feet as an established late night host. You can tell when he hasn't been putting the effort in, but towards the end of the season one he was on his game more often than not. With the season 2 extension we should see some more money thrown his way, hopefully he invests in a stronger writing team and graphic department which should add up to way more laughs. Good on ya Jimbo. Looking forward to season 2!

Let's be honest, Trevor Noah isn't as good as Jon Stewart. He's fumbling on words, the jokes aren't as spot on. The real alternative to his show is this, with Jim Jefferies. It's almost exactly the same. It's heavily political, with a lot of swearing added. Jim is in his element. More than say John Oliver, who has better ideas and does better interviews, but isn't as relaxed and fluid when he talks to the public. I hope Jim finds some fresh ideas, because it is extremely similar to the Daily Show, with the interviews and the reactions. Also, I expected it to be left-wing, and I don't mind but it's too much sometimes. And this is what makes John Oliver better : he goes and finds the issue that no one talks about. Once Jim will have TV veteran researchers working with him, with original segments, it'll take off.

I like Jim Jefferies comedy, but this is twice now the show has been caught making complete hatchet jobs out of interviews. That includes cutting to match questions with different answers and reactions, basically rendering the interviews fraudulent. I can't see this show as anything but manipulation at this point, I've watched all the episodes but unless he addresses this directly very soon I wont be watching anymore.

This quickly became one of my favorite shows if not my absolute favorite. Fans of John Oliver, Trevor Noah, Bill Maher and/or Seth Meyers will love it. Jim covers a wide range of topics and provides an informative, yet amusing, perspective on them. It's good to have another voice of reason on television, and somehow comedians have become the main voices of reason these days with mainstream media outlets becoming increasingly unreliable and untrustworthy. Much like his stand-up performances, his comedy on the show may offend some viewers who can't take a joke. In other words, if you're one of those overly sensitive, die-hard Trump supporters who starts sobbing and griping whenever you hear a critical joke about Trump, this show isn't for you. Jim is going to unapologetically call out Republicans, Democrats and anything else that is silly or illogical in the US.

Jim Jeffries is so funny you can barely sit still. Its irreverent, topical, savage, and spares no one. Jeffries is far ranging, with interviews of a Queensland Australia Senator, and the Ambassador to Azerbeigan. Of course he turns his attention to Trump now and then, but it's not endlessly dwelling on Trump's foibles.
Along with the funny stuff, Jeffries presents lots of real statistics about important subjects (health care, climate change, racism).
It's the funnies show on at the moment, and each episode gets funnier and funnier. His latest episode, about people who go on phony trophy hunts, is not merely hilarious, it is thoughtful and well reasoned.

I personally thought the first episode was really funny. All jokes were on sensitive topics but still hilarious, which shows some really brilliant writing. Jim as a host is doing just fine, laid back as usual, he's not forcing something out of him he knows he can't deliver. like impressions. Jim doesn't do impressions. which is fine, Im sure they can manage without them, John Oliver does terrible impressions as well. anyway, great show, really hope that it will be successful.
Just learned the show has been cancelled. This show was funny, witty and took on topics with a fairly moderate tone. Looking at both sides and calling out the BS. I am sure Liberals will say it didn't go far enough and Conservatives will say he is too liberal. For me it was perfect and I will really miss it.
Excellent stuff. Taking the piss from the mess we call democracy. True Democracy doesn't exist for mere citizens. Its a plutocracy, rich ruling for the rich.

Jim originated as a stand up comedian with great presentation and originality.
Unfortunately(I'm guessing) he's been bought by one corporation or another to propagate various agendas.
The only thing Australian left is the accent.
The only thing funny left is...the voice.

I like this addition to the political comedy scene a lot, if you know Jefferies stand-up show, you will get a less krass approach to the topics he usually covers, but still with a lot of whit. Sometimes you really have to pay attention to get the whispered lines or remarks on the side, that give the Jefferies flavor to the show. This will not be for everyone, but I recommend everyone to watch this, because even if you do not agree on many levels, there is something to take away in every episode, sometimes it requires to read between the lines.

Jump cuts that put answers to questions edited as answers to other questions to make him seem ultra crazy for having a dissenting opinion. Incredibly crass attitude off camera to seem clean and enlightened on camera. Fake Altruism, fake interviews, etc.
Complete trash. Just a puppet.

Great show but please bring back the podcast as it gives Jim and forest a proper platform to rant at the world. Great guests as well

I saw a commercial for the show on Comedy Central many times but didn't think much of it. But after getting into more stand-up Comedy specials I came across Jim Jefferies and his jokes and humor is right up my ally ! And I watched the show and laughed my ass off. And people who say it's a more ''tender jim'' and that he don't curse as much clearly don't know his comedy rutine.
It's especially fun when he is out doing interviews and just mess with people and if you want a good laugh this show is for you.

One of the best stand up comedians ever. Tackles actual topics with great wit and logic. Always good for a laugh or 10 per show. Ok, the right wing plebs may have problems with it but that's actually a complement if you ask me. I like the daily show but this is actually better (and rawer). Keep it up, Jim. Greetings from Belgium, aka the New Zealand of France. ;).
I thought Jim was funny until his little hit job on a you tuber and journalist.
I'm not going to give names but if you go on you tube it's all there to be seen.
Jim and his crew filmed an interview and then hacked it to make it look different.
The person being interviewed had set up his own camera which proved how low Jim could be.
Which is more than likely what ended this show. He has never apologized for defaming Avi nor trivializing the massacre in NZ, my home country.
