Porn legends Ron Jeremy and Christy Canyon host a sex-based illegal UHF channel in this hardcore porno version of a Kentucky Fried Movie type film. This makes for a pretty good watch and is even frequently humorous. Out of all ten of the sex scenes, I enjoyed all but the rather short lesbian scene with between Dallas Miko and Tamara Longley. This classic is worth watching for any fan of Ron, John Holmes, or especially Christy Canyon. And although this was followed by countless sequels that were of greatly diminishing quality, none of them tarnished the memory of the superb original.

A surprisingly well-done sex comedy with an all-star cast. Styled similar to mainstream releases, "The Groove Tube" and "Kentucky Fried Movie", a couple takes over a TV station and puts an adult spin on standard television conventions. While the humor is decidedly low brow and sophomoric, WPINK-TV manages to pull off a more natural flow and feel than one normally finds in pornographic comedies. The key to this comedic success being due primarily to Ron Jeremy's proclivity for the genre, as he stands out in his role as the proverbial master of ceremonies. The remainder of the cast performs aptly, with Christy Canyon putting in a particularly notable performance opposite Jeremy. The lone dud in the movie proves to be John Holmes; typical of his later career, Holmes appears haggard and coasts through his scenes in a flaccid manner, both sexually and acting wise. The production values are standard mid 80's video era, but the public access studio look actually fits the concept in this case. Overall, a lighthearted and "fun" affair, with plenty of what one expects from the genre.
I'd show this movie first to someone who had never seen or heard of Ron Jeremy - he's in full-swing in this movie (literally at times) and has a strong and attractive supporting cast to back him. After the opening scene where we meet Jeremy - a disgruntled TV station employee - and his girlfriend Christy Canyon, they decide to 'take over' the station when it's closed at night, to broadcast something much more interesting than the usual TV dross: porn. Along with a trusty band of helpers, they achieve their task and put to air a variety of short programmes and sketches, all involving sex in some form. One of these is a 'guess the mystery guest' contest with three females trying to do so through contact with his penis. Harry Reems plays a government agent sent to the station to infiltrate it and find out what's going on, but becomes enravelled in an orgy that itself is broadcast. The actors do a reasonable job, and the sex scenes work well, but Jeremy dominates the movie with his wisecracking humour.
The only negative I can think of regarding this film is that it was filmed two years after Holmes was diagnosed HIV-Positive. And he withheld that information from the industry. How egotistical of him to expose these gals and not have made them aware. And only a few years lated that he succumbed to AIDS. The film itself takes on the comedic charm of Ron Jeremy. It was one of the earlier films of Ali Moore who was also on the edge as far as age, much like her following costar Traci Lords in Wild Things. I have thought Ali brought more appeal to the screen than Traci ever did. But each of us are entitled to our own opinions which accounts for the variety we have available. Christy Canyon has always been over the top for me. Always been outstanding body, but little more. Again I would select Ali over Christy every time.

Announcer: The Pink Network is on the air. From station KSEX, it's TV as you've never seen it before. Tonight, starring Penthouse Pet Christy Canyon, Ron Jeremy, John Holmes, Harry Reems as Scorpio, and featuring Tamara Longley and Dallas Miko, Mark Wallice, and introducing Ali Moore. W.P.I.N.K., It's Red Hot!!
- Alternate versionsThis movie was re-released in 1989 with an Ali Moore/'Ron Jeremy (I)' scene replaced by a Tiffany Storm/Ron Jeremy scene (that lacked the initial mutual massage), presumably after it was revealed Ali might not have been of legal age when the movie was made. Inexplicably, not all her scenes were completely cut. Nevertheless, there's still a blindfolded fellatio of John Holmes that survived edits. Perhaps the blindfold provides deniability. The head of co-star Christy Canyon was photoshopped onto Ali Moore's body on the cover of the re-released VHS and the subsequent DVD release in 2006, resulting in two instances of Canyon in the same photo.
