Either this was an artsy allegory of a man coming to terms with something he did in his past, or it was a director's lame attempt at that. I mean, dozens and dozens of disjointed scenes without explanation, without continuity, without purpose -- it borders on annoying. There is really no explanation for this movie, I think, and the characters are never explained and act without reason or purpose. I felt like I was suffering from schizophrenia while watching it. I am not sure what to make of it. Maybe you can do better than I did.
Great acting, though, and great cinematography.

Well, this was essentially a slow and boring descend into madness. But I am getting ahead of myself here.
When I sat down to watch the 2022 movie "3 Demons", it was without ever having heard about it. I stumbled upon the movie, and given the fact it was a new horror movies and apparently something with demons, then of course I opted to see what writers Matt Cunningham and Peter Tell had to offer.
And let me just tell you that it wasn't the most riveting of storylines. Sure, "3 Demons" was watchable, though keep in mind that it was a monotonous storyline and a pretty slow paced narrative. And that made "3 Demons" a fairly difficult and prolonged movie to sit through. I managed to endure it to the end, hoping that the movie would pick up pace and intensity, but that just never happened.
I am sure that the script was interesting on paper, but the transition to the screen just wasn't a particularly exicting one. I was only mildly entertained by the slow descend into madness that seemed to be the plot of the storyline. But I have to say that too little of any interest happened throughout the course of the storyline to actually keep the movie interesting or afloat.
The acting performances in the movie were adequate. I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, but I will say that the actors and actresses did put on adequate enough performances given the severe limitations imposed by an inadequate script.
Visually then "3 Demons" was actually okay. But special effects can only do so much to alleviate an inferior script.
My rating of "3 Demons" lands on a three out of ten stars.

Watched with a friend and we both agreed this is one of the worst films we've sat through recently and made it through to the end. We only watched the entire thing, hoping there would be some explanation to what was going on, but good luck with that. As someone else mentioned, it just seems to be some random scenes that make no sense just all strung together and called a movie. Trying to find anything positive to say, the lead actor did his best and was somewhat appealing. The negatives were everything else. This film, if you can even call it that, had no plot, wasn't well written, was poorly shot, with bad sound, the demon costumes were bargain basement and there was no horror atmosphere to any of it. There were no scares, we just sat there confused. It wasn't so bad we turned it off early, because we thought something, anything at all may end up being explained, but we had no idea what was going on and couldn't care less, except to be glad it finally ended.

This was awful, sorry to say. I get that it's a budget movie but it had all of the worst qualities of a budget movie without anything redeeming. Some effects were OK. It felt like it was made for TV or something. Uneven acting. More than a few scenes were cringe.
That's all I can really say about it. Don't waste your time. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the doctor was a crazy hot mature knockout, whoever she was. That was the best thing about it.

If you like a slow burn movie and I mean a real slow burn, then this is for you. It is also quite confusing. Also for a cop he did a lot of dumb crap cops don't do. From the beginning when he started touching crap up, I knew he had no sense of what a cop does. The acting is somewhat okay. I am not sure what this movie was going far. At first I thought I had an idea and then it got so darn confusing that I just couldn't watch anymore of it. Like I said if you like slow burn, confusing and trying to make sense of what your watching. Well then this is for you. I gave it a 3 but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have seen much better horror movies.

The setting was interesting enough to give it a try. The cop has the order to watch a dead body. Then the horror starts and the body is moving, also some creatures appear. That's it. The next 30 minutes this scene is repeating and I quit watching.
Check it out for yourself. If you make it to the end, please tell the others how this mytery is resolved.

First, I am going to start my review the same way I start all my reviews. I love horror movies. I started watching them since I was a little kid.
I had to watch this movie twice. It was released in 2022 and it's 98 minutes. You would think being only two years old the movie would be pretty good even for a low budget movie, but noooooo it sucked. I watched it twice because I thought I missed something the first time because I didn't understand the storyline, but that was not the case. The storyline was just that bad now don't get me wrong. I don't believe it was the actors fault. The acting was actually pretty good.

But felt I had to after watching the movie. In fact I created an account to do so.
I came across this randomly online and didn't know what I was getting into. And it's good. It's really good. I mean, it's so different from anything I've really seen before, but for all the right reasons.
This movie really challenged me. I feel like it was a war between these demons and this cop for, maybe his soul? But they're not biblical demons or anything like that (I'm guessing of course, the poster does show a cross). Something else. From another dimension maybe.
This makes them way more horrific to me. My head cannon is that they have their own morality. They may not have a purpose for what they're doing that we can understand, but their goal is control. Torment. Anguish. And the deck is stacked.
Honestly I can't get it out of my head. I leapt on to see what other people were saying and was pretty disappointed by some of the reviews, like the guy that says the only reason he gave it a "2" was because of the "hot doctor". Gross. He clearly wasn't the target demographic.
Ignore that stuff. If you're looking for something a bit more challenging, this your ticket. Keep an open mind and let it take you away.

One of the better low-budget horror efforts I've seen recently, with competent actors selling the story. Don't worry too much about the plot - this is more of a mood piece that aims to create a surreal and illogical atmosphere of unease. If you demand detailed explanations, this is not the film for you.
After discovering a dead body, a sheriff in a small-town community is tasked with looking over the person until their family can arrive to claim it, but the longer he remains on the job the more he comes to believe a demonic curse has come to pass over him and must stop it from consuming him.
This was a lot better of an entry than it should've been. The main aspect to be had here is the wholly intriguing and somewhat chilling setup that provides this with a rather engrossing immersion into the story. The discovery of the body and conditions upon which they're tasked to remain there looking over it is a simple-enough task with the appropriate sense of unease being alone like he is while the supernatural activity begins ramping up slowly and ominously. From the hints to his childhood that suggest something knows who is specifically and is targeting him for unknown reasons, the seemingly innocent ideas here slowly indicating that something isn't normal and that he's been subjected to an entity of some kind all come across rather nicely here. This provides the film with a great building block for a solid string of impressive and somewhat chilling supernatural encounters. The first moments he's on the job, the body coming to life and leading him into the woods where he does battle with a strange being lurking in the shadows of the trees offers a wholly impressive series of mini-confrontations spread throughout that get things rolling nicely. The later hallucination involving the demonic spirit coming to torment him while playing in the woods has a great feel to it much like an encounter with the robed figures in the cabin. The series of exploits he faces while alone at the cabin where the demons continually taunt and torment him with flash images of his family tempting him or the other demons acting as those he knows interacting with him to influence unwarranted behavior to have a generally unnerving and sinister atmosphere to them and set the stage for the finale which is rather gruesome and bloody with how it all comes together. These elements all manage to provide quite a lot of intriguing qualities to this one. There aren't too many flaws to be had here but this one does have some issues. The biggest drawback to this one is the rather convoluted setup that goes on here which manages to introduce way too many storylines for this kind of film. The idea of the cop staying there alone being tormented by the spirit who finds the cause of it to be related to the trauma associated with his past is already rather confusing and feels too stuffed, yet the film continually piles on a series of twists and turns with the demonic entity continually toying with him trying to bring something dark and hidden to light which just makes for a generally confusing time here. As well, that also causes the other secondary flaw with the running time trying to fit all these elements together that it can feel a bit too long trying to cram these elements into a rather engaging supernatural tale. The cutaways to the interviews in the prison cell don't help and only hurt the flow even further, as an opening and closing round of comments would've been fine which are pretty much what really hurt this one the most.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Graphic Language.

I had no idea what I was getting into. Saw a random post online and thought, eh, why not?
Holy crap. It was incredible. I was glued to the screen.
First off, I can guarantee this won't be for everyone. It's non traditional, and non linear. Not your traditional horror fare. Has a cosmic bent and even some lovecraftian elements.
And you just don't see that. I lapped it up.
Again, this won't be for everyone, but it's incredibly well made, shot, and acted for what is clearly a low budget affair.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, and then I was blown away by the ride.
Fans of non traditional story telling are in for a treat. The twists and turns add up to something really special. It's clearly a small budget affair, but that doesn't detract at all from the experience.
The story centers around a small town cop tasked with a seemingly simple objective: protect a dead body until the family can pick it up. But then things start to get ... weird.
This thing had me guessing the whole way. The suspense is gripping. It's a possession movie, but not the way I was used to. It was almost like it was a first person account of what it must be like to be possessed. And from that stand point it's terrifying.
Don't expect a typical Hollywood production here. This is different. And it's special.
