Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition, with all Dlc packs, is coming to mobile in 2024, promising thousands of hours of gameplay. Popular survival game Ark is making the move to mobile due to powerful smartphones and successful game ports. Developed by Grove Street Games, the port will feature all 150 dinosaurs.

Ark: Survival Evolved players who want to take their dinosaur-taming adventures on the go are in luck because the complete version of the original survival game is coming to mobile devices. Given the increasingly powerful nature of smartphones, many major developers and publishers have begun porting some major hits to mobile platforms. With games like Resident Evil: Village and Assassin's Creed: Mirage entirely playable on phones, it stands to reason that a slightly older game like Ark would be a relatively smooth experience if the control scheme is able to support its occasionally confusing Ui.

The first set of Ark: Survival Ascended DLCs were released throughout 2023 and early 2024, including Cryopods, Survival Of The Fittest, Scorched Earth, and more. Content expansions for Survival Ascended introduce new maps, creatures, mechanics like Cryopods and the battle royale game mode Survival of the Fittest. Scheduled Dlc releases for late 2024 and 2025 include Aberration, Ragnarok, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2 with unique maps and content.

Ark: Survival Ascended is a remaster of 2015's Ark: Survival Evolved, but the newer version does not contain all the content released over the lifetime of the original. Enjoying regular support since its release, Survival Evolved received both paid and free expansions after its release. Though Survival Ascended includes a number of quality-of-life improvements in addition to its superior visuals, it is notably light on content compared to the original. This will, however, be rectified over the next two years, according to a roadmap laid out for the game's Dlc.

The Match Factory has acquired international rights to Russian director Victor Kossakovsky’s new documentary Architecton ahead of its Berlinale world premiere.

The film project follows the filmmaker’s farmyard doc Gunda, which played in Berlinale Encounters in 2020, and Aquerala, which world premiered Out of Competition In Venice in 2018.

The Match Factory describes Kossakovsky’s new film as “an epic, intimate and poetic meditation” on architecture and how the design and construction of buildings from the ancient past reveal mankind’s present destruction.

Focusing on a landscape project by the Italian architect Michele de Lucci, Kossakovsky reflects on the rise and fall of civilizations, using imagery from the temple ruins of Baalbek in Lebanon, dating back to Ad 60, to the recent destruction of cities in Turkey following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in early 2023.

Ark: Survival Ascended is expanding with the addition of Scorched Earth, a remake of the first paid Dlc for the original game. The release of Scorched Earth has faced delays but is now set to launch on April 1, 2024. The remake will feature new dinosaurs, including the Fasolasuchus, and new skins, with some cosmetic options available through additional purchases.

Ark: Survival Ascended is going to be expanded with the addition of Scorched Earth, a remake of the first paid Dlc for the original Ark: Survival Evolved. As Survival Evolved underwent years of expansion from a comparatively slim early access release, the new Unreal Engine 5 iteration of the game known as Survival Ascended is now taking on a similar path to restore the full sum of content piece by piece. It isn't all going to be a one-to-one comparison, however, with Scorched Earth making some changes and additions for its new implementation.

Dlc expansions are not the only focus of future content in Ark: Survival Ascended. A major update to the game's development kit is being planned to allow players to create entirely new games using the system. The graphical quality of Ark: Survival Ascended's assets, which push the detail possible in Unreal Engine 5, makes it easier to create appealing environments when using the dev kit. Ark: Survival Ascended is making community-made content more accessible for console users by partnering with major mod platform CurseForge, allowing console players to access published content.

Dlc expansions might seem like the main thing to look forward to in the future of Ark: Survival Ascended, but the most interesting update in the works is a different sort of thing entirely. Ark: Survival Ascended already has a much clearer roadmap than most games, thanks to the fact that it follows a pre-established formula as a remake of Ark: Survival Evolved.

The Berlinale has completed the lineup for its Panorama, Generation, Forum and Forum expanded sections, with new films from Levan Akin and Andre Techine, plus the debut feature of US playwright Annie Baker.

Swedish filmmaker Akin, who scored an international hit in 2019 with And Then We Danced, will open the Panorama strand with Crossing, about two people travelling from Georgia to Istanbul in search of a young transgender woman.
