Mail-In Trade- How To

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

Boutique Blu Rays/ 4ks

Out Of Print/Rare/ Hard to find DVDs

Cult/Sci-Fi/ Horror Laserdiscs and VHS

 

 

How it works:

 

 

Send an email to webmail@orbitdvd.com with photos of the items you would like to trade in. Stacks of 10-15 (depending on size) with the spines out tend to work best. Please take additional photos of any damages or details that set the item apart from the standard release (stickers/posters/inserts etc.)

 

To avoid confusion on everyone's part, please send one trade at a time. This includes swapping out items/removing items/adding additional items to the current trade.

 

Please be advised that emails are responded to in the order they were sent. This means that if you send a second email with additional items it will have to be treated as a second individual trade as it will be further down the list of emails. Likewise sending "bump" emails will send your email to the bottom of the list. We will get to you, we promise.


Offers will be made for store credit unless cash is specified. If cash is requested it will be sent via PayPal or Venmo. All offers include credit/cash to cover the cost of media mail shipping. Offers are based on the current value of the items as well as our current stock of the items in question. Keep in mind that if a new edition of something is announced the older version tends to lose value and will be traded in with greater frequency.

 

If the offer is accepted by both parties we ask that you package snugly and securely in a sturdy box along with a note containing your name and the email address you used to contact us and send them to:

How you ship them is up to you, but remember that part of your credit/cash offer is for media mail shipping.

 

Once they arrive here we will inspect them for damages, correct edition, inserts are complete,  and to make sure everything is here. Once that is done we will send an email to let you know the status followed by either your gift card or digital payment.

Please be aware that if an item has been damaged due to poor packaging, a disc is missing, or if the wrong edition is sent (this includes removing the blu ray from a limited edition set to replace it with the 4k and sending in the blu ray, the SKUs do not match properly and the item number on the spine is incorrect) the credit/cash will be affected. We will notify you prior to sending the credit/cash.

 

 

Finally, we are still a small business with a handful of employees. It may take us a couple of days to respond to your email, make an offer, or send your payment. Please be patient and know that we are working on it.
