AI can now generate almost anything except a real conversation between people. On October 29, our CEO Steve Huffman brings that idea to New York at Forward by Tatari, held at The Glasshouse. His keynote, “The Other First Screen,” explores why Reddit has become the other first screen for TV audiences, where fans turn to talk about what they’re watching, and how brands can become part of the conversation. Then, Steve joins Tatari CEO, Philip Inghelbrecht, to discuss what happens when brands show up on both screens, and how TV advertisers can turn that engagement into measurable performance across the funnel. Free to attend, and seats are limited. Request an invite at Forward 2026: A forum for the future of TV advertising: https://lnkd.in/ePrK3UvJ

What changes when AI joins the engineering team? We got into that and a lot more. Yesterday, we welcomed T.R. Vishwanath, co-founder and CTO of Glean, for a fireside chat with Reddit's CTO Amit Puntambekar. We discussed Glean’s origins, the future of workplace assistants, and how AI is reshaping the way engineering teams build, while preserving strong technical judgment and quality. We also explored how engineers grow, take ownership, collaborate across teams, and measure productivity without losing sight of context, accountability, and outcomes. These conversations help us learn from exceptional leaders and hard-won lessons, challenge our thinking, and keep raising the bar for engineering at Reddit. Thank you to Vish for sharing his perspective! For engineers interested in tackling meaningful technical challenges and shaping the future of Reddit, we’re hiring! https://lnkd.in/db73sK8m

Beauty is changing. But "The People's Beauty Index" has the answers. Introducing Reddit’s first beauty report exploring how community is reshaping beauty discovery, confidence, and decision-making. The beauty industry has long been fueled by flawless feeds, expert claims, and the next big trend. But consumers are increasingly looking for something more useful: the person who already tried the serum, shaved their head, found the SPF that does not pill, and came back with notes. Across Reddit beauty communities, that shift is already happening: 💄 Posts mentioning “fix,” “hide,” “cover,” “correct,” and “conceal” decreased 32% YoY, while posts mentioning “embrace,” “highlight,” “enhance,” and “emphasize” increased 220% YoY. 👨🦲 r/bald reached 1.2B views, up 467% YoY, as people come together around confidence, identity, and self-acceptance. 🛍️ Nearly 7 in 10 beauty shoppers say they feel more confident buying a product after reading about it on Reddit. On Reddit, beauty is not dictated from the top down. It is tested, debated, and refined by the people living it who are offering confidence through community.
