Every workspace eventually grows a few dark and dusty corners. A project folder last touched by someone who left years ago. A board that you’re pretty sure was important once. And, of course, the famous “Untitled” from before the pandemic. We’ve added two new MCP tools to make workspace archaeology a little easier: 1. Search for files by when they were created or last modified. 2. Move those files to another, less dark corner of your workspace. So you can now do a little spring (or fall) cleaning without manually opening dozens of mystery files.

i've been on a 2-week deep dive adding inline support for stuff in Whimsical docs. (editors are very hard 😅) the final piece just deployed - folders!! i'm a 🤏 biased, but i haven’t used anything that does this better.

i'm happy to announce image cropping in Whimsical docs, which also means admitting we didn’t have image cropping in docs.

No more clicking into a nested doc just to remember what's in it. Now you can expand it inline. Watch until the end to see this in action, or to see Osvalds Neiders dog. Your choice.

Whimsical can snap everything to a grid, which is exactly what you want 95% of the time. This post is about the other 5%. When you need something right there, not 12 pixels to the left. Or when you look at your board and something just feels…off.

A good table is a beautiful thing, right up until you try to paste it somewhere else. Unless that somewhere is Whimsical. ✨ HTML tables from Google Docs, Microsoft Word and the like, or markdown tables straight from a paste. Whimsical gets it. Images included.

We’ve cracked the code! Code blocks in boards just got an upgrade: -Syntax highlighting is finally here! -We've added a brand-new standalone code object. -Languages are now detected automatically by default. -And you can add code blocks inside shapes and sticky notes, too.

Time in the cloud moves fast. Leave your cloud icon library alone for long enough, and you have a museum of discontinued services. We’ve given the AWS and Azure icon libraries a very overdue refresh. Off with Azure AD, OpsWorks and Snowmobile. On with Entra, Bedrock and Amazon Q.

Our customer support team has learnt that a Whimsical board goes by many names. We’re not here to correct anyone. Especially not the Whimsicles people. 🍭💜
