  • Most agents work, but are they enjoyable to use? This weekend's Builder Center challenge: build an agent people actually enjoy using, then write the article that shows us how. → Build a working agent with a good experience: a friendly first run, clear responses, helpful errors, a personality that fits the job. → Publish a Builder Center article showing: 1. What your agent does and who it's for 2. How you built it, including the AWS services and tools you used 3. The one thing you did to make it enjoyable, and how you know it worked 4. A link, screenshot, or clip of your agent in action First 100 qualifying articles win $100 in AWS credits. Plus, 10 random winners get an AWS Builder Backpack. Submit window: October 9, 12:00 AM PT to October 12, 1:00 PM PT. Read the full details and enter with the link in the comments.

  • Three months. That's how long until the AWS Community Builders application opens, and enough time to contribute content that helps others in the community. 🙌 Builders are selected based on a visible track record of technical content that others can learn from. Blog posts, tutorials, videos, open source work, talks at local events. Content you can point to as your own. You won't be able to pull that together in the last week. Whatever you publish between now and January is what your application will stand on. So treat these three months as a head start. Share what you already know, or dig into something new and bring the community along as you learn it. Join the AWS Community Builders waitlist and share this post with your peers to know the moment applications open. Linked in the comments. ⬇️

  • 1,180 teams built working solutions in one weekend in Bengaluru. 🙌 Students came with problems they wanted to solve across themes like healthcare, climate, agriculture, and campus safety. One team built Suraksha, an agent that helps look after an aging parent. Every project was published on Builder Center and for the strongest projects, the impact went beyond the weekend. 10 students earned fast track interview opportunities with Amazon. The next stop is Delhi Oct 8-11 and all you need is your Builder Center profile to join. Full recap, winning projects and how to join the next one linked in the comments 👇

  • One month the advice is "just call an LLM," the next, teams are shipping multi-agent systems in prod. The pace of the evolution of GenAI can make it feel sudden. However, it wasn't. There was a clear progression, each stage was built on the one before and AWS turned every step into a service or tool you can adopt gradually, instead of rebuilding from scratch. We traced the full evolution. Seven stages, what changed at each one, why it changed and the AWS services and tools that matured alongside it: → Stage 1: The LLM → Stage 2: RAG → Stage 3: Function calling → Stage 4: Autonomous agents → Stage 5: Multi-agent teams → Stage 6: MCP and gateways → Stage 7: Orchestration at scale Along the way you'll see where Strands Agents SDK and Agent Toolkit fit, two of the tools making agentic development on AWS easier today. Read the full breakdown of stages from link in the comments. Save this for your next agent project, and share it with someone trying to make sense of the pace. 💾

  • New to AWS? You can pick up an extra $100 in credits just by completing hands-on activities in the console 💰 AWS Free Tier gives new accounts $100 credits for free just to get started. Here's what earns you the credits: → Launch an instance using EC2 (10 min) → Use a model in the Bedrock playground (5 min) → Set up cost budgets using AWS Budgets (5 min) → Create an Aurora or RDS database (10 min) → Create a web app using Lambda (5 min) We broke down what each activity involves and the technical skills you gain. ⬇️ Save this for when you set up your account, and share it with someone just starting out on AWS 💾 🤝

  • Over the years, you told us getting started on AWS was too hard. Today we're showing you we listened. Introducing the new simplified way of getting started on AWS: → You can now sign in with Google, GitHub, or Apple → Configure your coding agent in one prompt, and start building → A new settings page and simplified permissions so you spend less time configuring → Spin up a project and invite your team to collaborate via email → When you're ready to go paid, you can set a hard spend limit so you're always in control Build your first project in minutes. When you need more, like multiple regions or governance controls, activate advanced features when you're ready without migrating resources or disrupting what's already running. Get started with the link in the comments below.
