Appears in Super Mario Kodansha manga (Super Mario World! Mario Open Golf) (1992)

Mr. K is a disguise Bowser takes in Super Mario World! Mario Open Golf, passing as a human manager and organizer of a golf tournament, with the intent of humiliating Mario on the field. He wears a tuxedo with "K"s on the neckline and tie, a fedora with a big "K" on the front, sunglasses, gloves, and fake square teeth to cover his fangs in a fixed smile. He replaces the actual human manager seen in NES Open Tournament Golf.

Mr. K approaches Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy at the Golf Club, and invites them to join his golf tournament, promising to the winner a prize money amounting to one hundred million yen. Billy and Tony also join. Mr. K is seemingly normal throughout the tournament, checking on the players and explaining the rules. There are however two times in which his facade cracks: in the Australia course, Mr. K yells at the Kangaroo-san (which are Confused Chucks and a Sumo Brother in disguise) to clear the field and let Peach play, stating that they should act nice to a lady. Later, when Billy and Tony keeps hitting on Peach, Mr. K mumbles that they have no chances to date a princess, but as Peach points out, she is not wearing her royal clothes and crown, so how would he know she is a princess? After Mario beat the (seemingly) last match, ready to get the prize, Mr. K sneakily informs him that he has one last match to do, hidden on the leaderboard in tiny writing: facing Mr. K himself at the UK Course. The princesses are outraged at this and when Mario adds that this trick is as dirty as Bowser's, Mr. K drops his disguise and reveals himself to Mario. Mario eventually beats Bowser, and gets the prize, but Bowser throws one last cheap shot, revealing that the "million" on the check is a post-it, so Mario just won 100 yen.

Mr. K's outfit is later used by Donkey Kong Senior in Super Mario Kart 1.
