Reportapril 2

The recent rains have helped the golf course greens grow well. In the April 17th individual stableford competition, Kevin Manser scored 40 points to take first place, while Rich Hull and Peter Death came second and third, and several players got holes-in-one. In the April 24th competition, Les Raufer scored 41 points to take first as the wind increased, while Norman Whibley and Glyn Ombler tied for second on a card play off.

AGUILON GOLF MEMBERS REPORT

The recent rains have been very welcome for the golf course which
has encouraged the growth and given the greens staff something to
cut and manicure.

Wednesday April 17th – Individual Stableford

Just before the Easter rains the players enjoyed a warm day with
conditions conducive to good scoring and we were not disappointed

including an eagle two on the 11th

1st Kevin Manser 40 pts

2nd Rich Hull 39 pts

3rd Peter Death 37 pts

Twos: Rich Hull 3rd, Dave Sharp (par 4) 11th, Bill Gibb 14th, Dave Gray,
Ann Holder, Chris Tyler 17th

Wednesday April 24th – Individual Stableford

On a warm day when the wind gradually increased throughout the


morning to make things difficult, the scoring dropped except for our
winner, whose prize was a two shot handicap reduction.

1st Les Raufer 41 pts

2nd Norman Whibley 36 pts on a card play off

3rd Glyn Ombler 36 pts

Twos: one lucky winner who scooped the pot Peter Death 8th
