Norman Whibley defeated Terry Ayling 4/3 in the final of the winter singles matchplay competition at Aguilon Golf Club after three months of matches. In the May monthly medal competition, Jim Laing won on a card play off after both he and Lynne Whibley shot scores of six under par 65. AGUILON GOLF MEMBERS REPORT

The end of March saw the conclusion of the winter singles matchplay
competition, after rounds spanning three months the final was
contested by Terry Ayling and Norman Whibley, the match itself was
played in a competitive but friendly spirit which saw Norman taking
an early lead, hard as he tried Terry could not get back at him,
Norman coming home the winner by 4/3

Wednesday May 1st – Monthly Medal

Excellent scoring for a medal which is notorious for wrecking many a


players card with dangers lurking everywhere on Aguilon golf course,
sympathies to our runner up who returned a score of six under par
and lost on a card play off.

1st Jim Laing 80-15= 65 on a card play off

2nd Lynne Whibley 91-26= 65

3rd Dave Sharp 74-5= 69
