Report accompanying the estimate for Improvements to Amarchinta – Jacklair

Road from km 23/4 to 28/910 in Mahabubnagar district.

Amount of Estimate: 210.00 Lakh

The Amarchinta – Jacklair is an important Rural road, connecting Atmakur to


state high ways SH 18 such to Mahabubnagar – Raichur road. On this road, major
grampanchayat villages and there is no separate route to go Narwa mandal head
quarter. The road from Km. 0/0 to 23/4 is already improved under RDF Schemes. The
balance stretch from Km. 23/4 to28/910 is non BT surface which is very inconvenient
to the vehicular traffic for transporting the agriculture products to the nearby market
yards such as Atmakur and Makthal. Further the road passing in between wet fields on
either sides, Hence the provision of borrowed earth have been provided with a lead of
minimum 8 Km.
Hence the estimate is prepared with the following provisions to make the road
traffic worthy condition.

1. Forming embankment with borrowed useful earth


2. Scarifying the existing granular surface
3. Construction of Granular sub-base by providing HBG material confirming to
Grading - III in appropriate reaches and village portions.
4. Providing Wet Mix macadam 225 mm thick
5. Providing 25mm thick MSS by hot mix.
6. Providing 6 No. s of CD works.
7. L.S. provision such as VAT, Q.C. Price escalation and unforeseen works etc.

The estimate is prepared based on the current SSR of 2008-09 with


MORT&H specifications.
An early sanction to the estimate is solicited.
