Procedure:
A. Who here has been to the ocean? What can you remember about the
ocean? Is there another word for the ocean? Today we will be
learning a song about the ocean.
1. Sing the whole song for them (Lyrics Below).
2. Sing the first line and then have them repeat it. Then repeat this
process for every line for the entire song.
3. Sing two lines and then have them repeat. Do this for the rest of the
song.
4. Sing the whole song all together.
5. Have everyone sit in a circle.
6. Select a student to walk around the circle. Explain that they will
replace the name “Charlie,” with their own name and the animal with
any sea animal that they like.
7. Remind them that every line is first sung by the person outside of the
circle, and then it is repeated by everyone else.
8. Tell them that when the song is over, they need to tap on someone’s
head, and that person will chase them around the circle.
9. Whoever makes it back to that person’s spot first wins. The student
who loses must go around the circle and sing the song again.
