VISION
Our vision is to exceed expectations through successful teamwork; combining our unique perspectives
and ideas, coupled with effective communication and dedication to ensure success. We strive to be a
cohesive team that produces exemplary assignments, while effectively interacting with, learning from,
and growing with each other.

MISSION
The Lucky Three team is founded by diversely skilled individuals dedicated to achieving a higher level
of output through collaboration. Our shared commitment to learn with and from each other along with
our aspiration for submitting impressive work is our team’s fundamental purpose. As a team, we will
maintain a high level of work ethics, cohesiveness, and cooperation throughout any unprecedented
challenges we face. Lastly, we will implement the knowledge that we have gained from the coursework
and our teamwork to achieve our goals in our future undertakings and ventures. We will implement the
knowledge of managing team dynamics including our understanding of demonstrating positive
leadership skills to future environments/circumstances.

GOALS
1st Goal: Establish an environment where team members are comfortable expressing their
opinions towards the team’s collaborative goals.

Tasks:

• Get to know one another personally outside of work/school mode to establish relationships.
• Allow team members to choose roles that best fit their interests so that productivity is
maximized.
• Actively listen and engage with team members.

Metrics:

• Team scribe will be taking note of meeting attendance and should expect a minimum of 95%
attendance rate to maintain transparency between teammates.
• Complete TKI and FIRO-B surveys and set roles based on working styles.

• Implement polls into our decision-making whenever the team is trying to decide on the best
course of action that requires multiple options.

2nd Goal: Maintain a high level of efficiency throughout individual and group tasks.

Tasks:

• Keep team members accountable for team and class deadlines.


• Meticulously follow team charter work plan in order to maintain level participation.
• Actively participate in the blackboard forum and thread discussions.
• Ensure projects are abiding by the expected requirements.

Metrics:

• Each team member will join the weekly call unless they present a valid excuse no less than 24
hours before the meeting.
• Achieve 100% completion rate for all required team assignments.
• Score a minimum of 85% on the knowledge checks.
• Have at least two members of the team proofread the final version of the team project before
submission.

3rd Goal: Use our knowledge about team dynamics to enhance our skills internally and externally.

Tasks:

• Use TKI and FIRO-B surveys in order to gauge where team members best complement one
another in team dynamics.
• Establish support in areas where team members would like to improve or gain new knowledge.
• Pinpoint learnings that team members intend to implement in their personal careers.

Metrics:

• Team members will complete the Team Functioning Survey after every major project and will
use this as a major topic of conversation in the following weekly meeting to consider areas of
improvement.
• Completion of required readings provided by the professor.

ROLES
Coordinator (Eric Medina)

• After taking input from all other team members create a team agenda and plan.
• Progress for each assignment should be evaluated.
• Manage team activity consistently to make sure that recommended outlines decided by the group
are met.
• Assigns tasks and responsibilities and distribute it among team members.

Scribe (Marlene Mendez)

• Schedules Team meetings through Zoom platform.


• Records thoughts and ideas that the group comes up with.
• Responsible for ensuring attendance is taken during scheduled meetings.
• Note down the minutes of the weekly meeting and share it under the team meetings forum on
blackboard.

Project Manager /Timekeeper (Krysta Freund)

• Keeping the team on schedule on all tasks for assignments and monitoring their respective due
dates.
• Ensure the efficiency of team meeting by keeping a track of time spent on discussion.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing team projects which need to be submitted in an
efficient and effective manner.
• May call an emergency meeting(s) to bring the team back on task, if required.

Facilitator (Saloni Rana)

• Assists the group with communicating and working together successfully accomplish goals.
• Serves as a backup to the coordinator when needed.
• Assuring that team members participate in group discussions and contribute their thoughts and
ideas to the assignment.

Editor (Alexandra Phillips)

• To ensure accuracy and clarity, revise material for the group; review material as needed.
• Serves as another backup for the coordinator; however to solely make sure outline requirements
are being met for the group.
• Helps the Graphics and Presentation Manager with overall presentations of the materials.

Graphics and Presentation Manager (Brooke Lewis)

• Provide appropriate graphics for presentations regarding the team’s work.


• Make recommendations for the final product delivery holistically.

All Team Members

• To make sure that the quality of our work is of the highest degree, any team member is able to
assist in any of these roles to guarantee success.
• Everyone is responsible for speaking up immediately to secure that protocol is followed, for the
best outcome for our submitted assignments.
• Always make the overall success of the team a priority.
• Respect and value all members of the team, by meeting the commitments in a timely manner.

GROUND RULES
Administrative Rules

1. All team members will attend and participate in a weekly team meeting via Zoom video
conference every Wednesday at 6 p.m.
2. If for any reason a member of Lucky Three is running late or cannot attend a meeting, the team
member is responsible for notifying the team immediately. The team member is also responsible
for getting follow-up on any missed discussions made during the meeting
3. The Coordinator of Lucky Three will prepare an agenda prior to each weekly meeting and will
post in the team discussion board in Blackboard.
4. All team members will upload their individual task contributions to the group file exchange in
Blackboard in a timely manner for team’s approval.
5. Lucky Three reserves the right to voluntarily amend the Administrative Rules at any time
throughout the course if deemed necessary by all members of the team.

Task Oriented Rules

1. Lucky Three will maintain regular communication via GroupMe, team discussion board in
Blackboard and weekly Zoom video conference meetings.
2. All decisions must be collectively agreed upon and made as a group. In the event that some
members of Lucky Three do not agree upon a decision, the group must demonstrate and follow
the principle of majority rule.

3. Each team member will adhere to the Team Work Plan as well as any other assigned tasks and
submit their work in a timely manner.

4. If a team member needs assistance or additional guidance with a task, please notify the team
immediately so Lucky Three can provide support in getting the task completed.
5. In the case of an emergency and a team member is unable to complete a task by their specified
due date, please notify the team immediately so Lucky Three can reassess and get the task
completed.
6. All individual tasks and/or assignments will be posted on the file exchange folder in Blackboard
for the team’s review. All team members are responsible for keeping all electronic documents
throughout the duration of the course.

Interpersonal Rules

1. Each member of Lucky Three is required to treat every team member with respect at all times
and adhere to integrity and honesty.

2. All members of Lucky Three will actively participate and contribute in meetings and
assignments throughout the duration of the course. Lucky Three will value all proposed ideas
and by group members and take into full consideration.

3. As growth and development in this course is important, feedback, suggestions and constructive
criticism of team members is highly encouraged, as long as the delivery is done in a respectful
manner.
