Single Needle Lock Stitch Machine
This machine makes lock stitches (stitch class 301). Lock stitches are formed with one needle
thread and one bobbin thread. This is a widely used sewing machine and used for sewing stitch
class 301. Basic to computer-controlled version is available in this machine category.

Double Needle Lockstitch Machine
In this machine there are two source of thread one is needle thread and another is Bobbin thread .
By interlacement of this two-thread stitch is formed. Bobbin Thread is stored in a Bobbin which
is placed under the Needle Bed of machine

Single Needle Chainstitch Machine
Single Needle Chainstitch Machine is continuously formed with a single thread and by a blind
looper which eliminates the need for a bobbin thread refilling. In addition, the basted seam can
be easily undone.

Double Needle Chain Stitch Machine
A double needle chainstitch machine works on the same principle as the single needle
machine by using two needles and two bobbins thus resulting in two parallel rows of chainstitch.
This technique of twin needle sewing is also popularly known as double needle sewing.

Overlock Machine
Overlock machines are available in 3 threads, 4 threads and 5 threads over edge sewing. An
overlock machine can form various type of stitches like, stitch class 503, stitch class 504 and stitch
class 512.
3 thread overlock stitch: The triple thread overlock stitch is a popular choice for decorative edging. The 3-
thread overlock pattern is also an excellent stitch for sewing pin tucks and creating narrow rolled hems.
4 Thread Overlock stitch: f you want to seam high-stress areas, the 4-thread overlock pattern is the best choice.
This overlock mimics a safety stitch in strength while retaining flexibility. It’s also good for decorative edging
and finishing.
5Thread Overlock Stitch: More expensive over lockers have the capability to sew a 5-thread safety stitch.
The safety stitch is a combination of a 2-thread chainstitch and a 3-thread overlock. It creates a strong seam for
heavy weight fabrics such as denim and terrycloth.

Flatlock Machine
This machine is called a cover-stitch sewing machine. Flatlock sewing machines normally
come with 2-3 needles. For bottom cover stitch machine 2 needle threads pass through the
material and inter loop with 1 looper thread with the stitch set on the underside of the seam.

Feed of the arm machine is actually a chain stitch machine for chain stitch designs working with
sew and stitch. It contains looper instead of bobbin. ... By this machine, stitch can be produced on
heavy fabrics, like denim or jeans; it has opportunity of stitching by folding the fabrics.

Interlock machine is a stretch stich sewing machine generally used in garments factory. There
are interlock stitches produced by two needles and four threads, as well as three needles and
five threads, etc., which are flat and have good strength and can be developed to a wide range

Industrial Embroidary Machine
Embroidery is one of the highest-quality possibilities of textile refinements. There are various
types of embroidery machines that is used in industry. Industrial embroidery machines are large in
size, so it needs a large space like a factory floor that’ll be able to fit the machine comfortably.
They’re not suitable for a home environment, unlike a single-head machine is. The size that opt
for all depends on the unique requirements of business. Multi-head machines come in all different
sizes and typically range from 2-8 heads. The more that you need from your machine the more
number of heads you will need.
