In ERC Heavy Commercial Vehicle Dept. as an On Site
Engineer of Harita Techserve Ltd.
Tata Motors is coming up with range of Heavy Commercial Vehicles in World Truck and
Hybrid Bus Projects.
I am involved in the vehicle integration of this new range of vehicles.
DURATION : From 5th June 2006 to till Date
RESPONSIBILITIES : 1) Assembly & Packaging of various chassis mounted Components
with direct exposure to Prototype.(Vehicle Integration)
2) Benchmarking, weight tracing and proto build co-ordation.
3) Data Management in PLM.
4) Release of drawings for Prototype manufacturing and co-
ordination for Prototype building and testing
5) Approval of suppliers for proprietary parts like rubber mounts and
Silencer.
Current Project
PROJECT NAME : HIGH DECK BUS
PROJECT GROUP : REAR STRUCTURE - 51Group
DESCRIPTION : 1)This group includes Assembly & Packaging of tubes for making
structure. Mountings of wire harness brackets, air cooler mtg, and compressor and radiator
mtg.Developed new support brackets for mounting. Also reduced weight of rear structure for
cost reduction And DML release in PLM.
PROJECT NAME : HIGH DECK BUS
PROJECT GROUP : EXHAUST SYSTEM – 49 Group
DESCRIPTION :- 1) This group includes Assembly & Packaging of Exhaust system.
2) Back pressure and Noise testing.
PROJECT NAME : HIGH DECK BUS
PROJECT GROUP : ASSY. FRAME REAR MODULE – 31Group (chassis)
DESCRIPTION : 1) This group includes Assembly and packaging of Suspension
Bkts. Engine mtg and Retarder mtg bkts.
PROJECT NAME : WORLD TRUCK
PROJECT GROUP : ASSY. FRONT AXLE (World Truck)
DESCRIPTION : 1) This group includes Assembly and packaging of Front axle.
Interact with suppliers, done indoor test for hub assy, & axle beam. Worked on Truck model
LPK3138 Prima, LPS 4028.
2) Done Mechanism for turning angle for axle and released all data in PLM.
PROJECT NAME : HYBRID BUS (CNG HYBRID)
PROJECT GROUP : ASSY REAR STRUCTURE – 51 GROUP
DESCRIPTION : This group includes Assembly & Packaging of tubes for making
Structure. 1) It is structure for Radiator mtg (Traction & Engine Radiator)
and Electrical Panel mtg.
2) Developed new support brackets.
PROJECT GROUP : ENGINE MOUNTING - 24 GROUP
DESCRIPTION : 1) This group includes Assembly & Packaging of rubber mounts for
engine.& Released all data in PLM.
2) Stack up Tolerances calculations.
For misalignment of Retarder mounting brackets stack up tolerance are calculated and
provide a slot to avoid misalignment.
Currently working on Low Floor Hybrid Bus. (spain- Hispano)
Working on Low floor bus having minimum clearance with ground. This bus design for
Spain. I am involved in following groups ,
1) Rear structure
2) Engine mounting
3) Rear frame
