285. . The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do)
the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They
say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We
hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."
286. Allâh burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he
has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not
if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on
those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have
strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maulâ
(Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

1. O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allâh and His Messenger ( صلى هللا عليه
)وسلم, and fear Allâh. Verily! Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
2. O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet ()صلى هللا عليه وسلم, nor
speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered
fruitless while you perceive not.
3. Verily! Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allâh's Messenger ()صلى هللا عليه وسلم, they
are the ones whose hearts Allâh has tested for piety. For them is forgiveness and a great reward.
4. Verily! Those who call you from behind the dwellings, most of them have no sense.
5. And if they had patience till you could come out to them, it would have been better for them.
And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

1. Successful indeed are the believers. 2. Those who offer their Salât (prayers) with all solemnity and
full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk,
falsehood, and all that Allâh has forbidden). 4. And those who pay the Zakât . 5. And those who
guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the
captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 7. But whoever
seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 8. Those who are faithfully true to their Amanât
(all the duties which Allâh has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their
covenants; 9. And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawât (prayers)
(at their fixed stated hours). 10. These are indeed the inheritors. 11. Who shall inherit the Firdaus
(Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever.

63. And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allâh) are those who walk on the earth in humility and
sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of
gentleness. 64. And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 65. And
those who say: "Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily! Its torment is ever an
inseparable, permanent punishment." 66. Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell.
67. And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium
(way) between those (extremes). 68. And those who invoke not any other ilâh (god) along with
Allâh, nor kill such life as Allâh has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual
intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. 69. The torment will be doubled to
him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace;

70. Except those who repent and believe (in Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allâh will
change their sins into good deeds, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 71. And whosoever repents and
does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allâh with true repentance. 72. And those who do
not witness falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity. 73. And those
who, when they are reminded of the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their
Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 74. And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our
offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqûn" (pious - see V.2:2 and the
footnote of V.3:164)." 75. Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience.
Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect. 76. Abiding therein; excellent it is
as an abode, and as a place to dwell. 77. Say (to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of
your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever
(inseparable permanent punishment)."

30. Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their
private parts. That is purer for them. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do. 31. And tell the
believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private
parts and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands
or outer dress like veil, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their
bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands,
their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their
brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islâm), or the
(female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small
children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal
what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allâh to forgive you all, O believers, that you
may be successful.
