RE: Aubrey Manmiller
To Whom It May Concern:
It gives me great pleasure to provide an enthusiastic reference for Aubrey Manmiller who
is applying for a school counseling position in your district. My opinions arise from
observations and interactions as her professor and advisor in the M.S. School Counseling
Program at Kutztown University.
Ms. Manmiller is an impressive individual who is caring, bright, and self-motivated.
Aubrey would bring a wealth of real-world and academic experiences to any school
system fortunate enough to hire her. Aubrey has distinguished herself as a leader and role
model here at Kutztown. Ms. Manmiller completed her course of study with academic
distinction and a perfect 4.0 GPA. Aubrey was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the
counseling sciences honor society, and served as Chapter President with distinction.
Aubrey is well respected by her peers, supervisors and professors. She is culturally
competent and practices by accepted professional standards of both the American School
Counseling Association and received stellar field experience evaluations. At Kutztown,
Ms. Manmiller completed specialized courses in trauma, crisis assessment and
intervention, brief cousneling and substance use disorders. Ms. Manmiller was also a
researcher on a team that presented on Disaster Mental Health at the prestigious
ACA/Holy Cross University Ethics and Law Conference in New Orleans.
What Aubrey’s resume dosen’t show is a warm and genuine personality that makes her
an effective school counselor. She is open to feedback and supervision yet is self-
directed, mature and has a strong work ethic. Aubrey’s field evaluations are consistently
at the top 5%. I strongly recommend Aubrey Manmiller without reservations for any
position knowing that she will serve your students and school district with distinction.
