Controller Communications (Master/Slave & Multiunit Systems)

Logik9, Logik26S, and Logik33S compressor controllers have 1-2 RS485 communication ports allowing master-slave communication between two compressors or multiunit communication between up to 12 compressors. They can also communicate with SCADA systems or cloud/web servers for remote monitoring. An Ethernet serial gateway enables remote monitoring via embedded web server or cloud by converting between Modbus RTU and TCP/IP protocols. Master-slave communication enables functions like balancing run hours between two compressors or cascade control systems. Multiunit communication allows balancing run hours and priority settings across multiple compressor units.

CONTROLLER COMMUNICATIONS

(MASTER/SLAVE & MULTIUNIT SYSTEMS)


GENERAL INFORMATION – LOGIK9

Logik9 has 1 RS485 serial communication port that allows to communicate under ;
• Master / Slave Mode : the communication between two compressors
• Multiunit : the communication between compressors up to 12 units
• Scada Systems : Logik9 can communicate with scada systems by using Modbus RTU
• Cloud Server : Logik9 can pass the information to cloud and user can follow the
compressor by using webbrowser
• Webserver : Logik9 and by using special ethernet serial gateway, user can observe the
compressor information on the webserver.
GENERAL INFORMATION – LOGIK26S

Logik26S has 2 RS485 serial communication ports. Second communication port can be used to
communicate with inverter driver itself.

The main communication port can communicate under the system described below;
• Master / Slave Mode : the communication between two compressors
• Multiunit : the communication between compressors up to 12 units
• Scada Systems : Logik26S can communicate with scada systems by using Modbus RTU
• Cloud Server : Logik26S can pass the information to cloud and user can follow the compressor by
using webbrowser
• Webserver : Logik9 and by using special ethernet serial gateway, user can observe the compressor
information on the webserver.

Note: If the compressor is not communicating with the driver, second RS485 port also can be used
to communicate with external modules & scada system as well.

Logik33S has 2 RS485 serial communication ports. Second communication port can be used to
communicate with inverter driver itself.

• Master / Slave Mode : the communication between two compressors
• Multiunit : the communication between compressors up to 12 units
• Scada Systems : Logik33S can communicate with scada systems by using Modbus RTU
• Cloud Server : Logik33S can pass the information to cloud and user can follow the compressor by
using webbrowser
• Webserver : Logik9 and by using special ethernet serial gateway, user can observe the compressor
information on the webserver.

Note: If the compressor is not communicating with the driver, second RS485 port also can be used
to communicate with external modules & scada system as well.
Communication / Master - Slave

Master / Slave communication functions :


• Balance Hours : Two compressors can be managed to balance the working hours
• Cascade working system with two compressors : By proper parameter settings user can
design cascade system where one compressor capacity is not sufficient to provide
pressurized air.
• Two inverter controller compressor can modulate at the same time by using special
inverter twin function (Logik 26S & Logik33S systems).

• Balance Hours : the working hours can be balanced
• Priority : Its possible to assing to compressor a priority
• Smart Mode : According to air consumption, the multiunit system selects the energy
saving combination with the compressor capacities.
