1. INTENDED USE
The angle indicator makes it faster and easier to direct holes to desired angle and to drill
         them to the desired depth/level.
The angle indicator comprises sensors on the feed and the carrier, as well as a display
unit and a sight in the cabin. The display unit shows the directional and depth readings
calculated on the basis of the information from the sight and the sensors.

FEED TILT
The aligning indicators show the direction in which feed is inclined in relation to the set tilt
and swing angles. The illustration shows the angle differences indicated by the lights.
In vertical drilling mode, the centremost lights switch off and the green light turns on when
the angle difference is less than the set value in SA3. The value in SA3 is common to both
     tilt and swing readings.
In aligning mode, the lights indicate the tilt and swing angles of the feed in the same way
as in vertical drilling mode. The green light for blasting direction turns on when the angle
difference is less than the SA1 setting, and the green light for blasting angle turns on when
the angle difference is less than the SA2 setting. When both blasting direction and blasting
angle (bench inclination) are correct and the green indicator lights are illuminated, the
lights of both indicator blocks are switched off even if the tilt and swing values were above
     the SA3 setting.
When turning the feed to the correct position with the aid of the aligning indicators, always
first turn the feed to the correct tilt angle and then to the correct swing angle. This is
necessary because changing the swing angle does not affect tilt, whereas changing the
tilt does also change swing angle.

In HdEP mode, the depth value is set in the hole direction (hole length). In FIEL mode, the
depth value is set in terms of the bench height. The conversion between the bench height
and hole length is calculated according to the position of the feed when the bench height
was entered. This is why the feed must be aligned before entry of the bench height.

In the figure, the ‘1’ indicates the location of the rock drill when drilling is started. The ‘2’
indicates the level at which the rock drill is in its lowest position and rod replacement starts.
At point 3, the rock drill has been lifted from level 2 at least 20 centimetres beyond the rod

At point 4, when the rock drill is lowered to a level which is one rod length higher than at
point 2, the depth counter assumes that a rod replacement took place and starts to
     increase the drilling depth reading.
If the rock drill was not lifted enough at point 3, or if the rod replacement was cancelled
by pressing , drilling depth measurement continues only after the rock drill passes
the level reached at point 2.
After the hole is drilled to its final depth, return to angle display mode by pressing
