Journal Entry 1
For the first day of our online clinical rotation in Oncology ward, Ma’am Norhanie
Ali sent a video that we could use as a reference for us to gain understanding about the
usual hullaballoos inside oncology wards.
The video showed an Oncology nurse by the name Kelly. Kelly works with cancer
patients as a nurse. She must be pleasant and caring toward patients while also being
exact and accurate when administering treatments and medications. "I don't know how
you do it," people keep telling Kelly, but it's the profession she's constantly loved.
Oncology nurses are nurses that specialize in the treatment of cancer patients.
Depending on their expertise, education, and specific qualifications, they can fill a
variety of tasks. The care in oncology unit is a fascinating experience for a student, with
dealing with life and giving dignified death. The discipline could have been easier to
appreciate only if we were on a real clinical setting.
