                                         INTRODUCTION
Identifying Data
1.Project Title: Project Wi-Fi for Students of Barangay Gomez Street
2.Project Site: Barangay, Gomez Street, Dinalupihan, Bataan
3.Project Proponent: Aivan Gabriel V. Paguio (COE-101 Student)
                      Kenneth Velasco (SK Chairman)
                      Mr. Rho Robledo (NSTP Instructor)
Background of the Project
It is stated in Article 14, Section 1 of the 1987 Constitution that “the State shall protect and
promote the right of all citizens to quality education at all levels, and shall take appropriate steps to
make such education accessible to all.”
Unfortunately, millions of students are fighting to keep that after the coronavirus disease
(COVID-19) forced them to leave their classrooms. Though online classes are an excellent option,
many Filipinos are struggling to put food on the table, let alone pay for internet service. With no
apparent date for schools to reopen, the researcher devised a plan to provide internet access to
students whose futures were jeopardized by the novel coronavirus.
There are many students out there who are struggling to continue studying online but
don’t have the means to do so. With the help of “Project WI-FI”, it aims to solve the connection
problem for the students.
In this project, the researcher will conduct a survey to find any students who are
experiencing difficulties with their internet connection. Those students will have their own
schedule to use the Wi-Fi. They will also have a place in researcher’s garden, for them to have a
place during classes and not be loitering outside. Inside the backyard, social distancing and
health practices will be implemented for the safety of everyone.
Beneficiary Community
This project will be beneficiary to those students in Barangay Gomez who still wants to
pursue their dream despite of all the trials that they are experiencing during the pandemic.
Project Objective
Project Wi-Fi aims to help students to continue their studies by giving them free access
to Wi-Fi. This will help them to study without worrying about their internet connection or
worrying where they will get the money to buy load for data.
Project Implementation
The implementation of this project will be possible, because the speed of the researcher’s
internet connection is around 100mbps and it is surely enough to provide good connection for 5-
10 students. This project will be implemented in the researcher’s backyard in the first day of
June. There will be tables and chairs which is 5 ft. apart to practice social distancing.
Budget
The budget for this project will be around zero to low budget. The researcher’s internet
connection will only be shared to students. Student will bring their own table and the researcher
can provide monobloc chair. All of the items that will be used are existing so there will be no big
expenses in this project.
Project Management
Project Wi-Fi will be available to students in their schedule of classes. The researcher
will get a copy of class schedule of every participants. Students will not be allowed to hang
around the house when it is not their schedule of classes to avoid wrong usage of Project Wi-Fi.
This project will only be for school purposes.
Project Self- Continuity
The researcher’s house and internet connection will be open to all participants until face-
to-face classes resume. This project is not only for NSTP subject but to also help other students
with all the researcher’s heart.
PROJECT WI-FI FOR STUDENTS OF BARANGAY GOMEZ STREET
NARRATIVE REPORT WEEK #1
For the 1st week of Project Wi-Fi, the researcher made a survey to find out how many
students are there in Barangay Gomez who are really in need of internet connection. Out of 3
high school students that I know, there are only one student that is in really in need of internet,
the other 2 students are already done in this school year. But the thing is, this one student is not
taking online class but a modular one. In this week, the said student is in his “module
summative” part of schooling that doesn’t require an internet. It is almost the end of period of a
modular class. In this case, the participant only asked for an access for his virtual graduation so
that he will not buy a load for that because he said that based on his experience, watching a video
using a mobile data consumes a lot of gigabytes. I agreed and says my gratitude for participating
before saying goodbye.
Sadly, for this project, the researcher was not able to do something for the community in
his barangay. The only action that happened is to offer the researcher’s wi-fi connection for the
incoming school year on the 3rd week of July.
I am Aivan Gabriel V. Paguio, taking a class of Computer Engineering in Eastwoods
Professional College of Science and Technology, and as a student, I was relieved that, while I
was unable to share my privilege of having internet access, I am pleased that, in the near future, I
will be able to help them.
NARRATIVE REPORT WEEK #2
For the 2nd week of Project Wi-Fi, due to MECQ and lockdowns of barangay, the
continuity of this project was forbidden by the SK Chairman of our barangay, Kenneth Velasco.
Also, based on the first week of this project, the researcher said that there will be no available
students that are really in need of internet connection since this season is a vacation for most of
                                     the students.
                                                               GENERAL
EVALUATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT
The implementation of this project could go well, but due to some reason, the
implementation of my project was cancelled. Tables, chairs, facemask, and alcohols were
prepared by the researcher, Only the participant were not available for the time being and also
the implementation of MECQ.
