THE PROBLEM
INTRODUCTION
The project aims to solve the challenges of slow internet connectivity and a lack of accessible, free
Wi-Fi for students on campus. With a rising number of students dependent on the internet for
academic materials, a reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi network is required to enable digital learning and
research. The existing Wi-Fi network on campus is insufficient, with poor connection and frequent
slowdowns, particularly during peak hours. This limits students' ability to access internet resources,
complete homework, and collaborate on projects. The primary causes include an out-of-date
infrastructure, insufficient bandwidth, and a lack of access points. Given the fast expansion of
digital learning, it is vital to fix this issue before the next academic year.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The WIFI network expansion and upgrade project at Andres Bonifacio College proposed project
the existing network infrastructure to better accommodate students, faculty, and staff. This project
will begin with an assessment of the current WIFI setup to pinpoint areas with inadequate coverage
and high usage demands. It will involve upgrading hardware, including routers and access points,
while also increasing bandwidth by partnering with internet service providers to ensure faster and
more reliable connectivity. The new equipment will be installed and configured for optimal
performance, followed by comprehensive testing, including signal strength assessments, speed
tests, and user experience evaluations, to guarantee adequate coverage and reliability. A strategy
for ongoing monitoring will also be established to quickly address any future issues. The ultimate
objective is to establish a faster, more dependable WIFI network that improves the digital
experience for all campus users.
PROPOSED PROJECT
The project aims to enhance and expand the existing WIFI network by coordinating with the
dominant network providers in the local area to increase speed, reliability, and coverage
throughout the campus. the project also intends to offer a free WIFI network exclusively to student
usage, with increased capacity and efficiency.
JUSTIFICATION
The demand for reliable, high-speed internet access on campus has grown due to the rise of digital
tools in education, and many academic institutions in the Philippines have upgraded their networks
to meet these demands. For instance, colleges/universities such as Allegheny College and
University of California, Irvine (UCI) have implemented similar Wi-Fi expansion projects, which
resulted in improved student satisfaction and performance. Additionally, (Research) shows that
improved network connectivity positively impacts academic outcomes and student productivity to

CONCLUSION
The Wi-Fi Network Upgrade and Expansion project will provide major benefits to the school, such
as greater internet speed and coverage, higher student happiness, and improved access to
instructional materials. While there are some initial expenses, the long-term benefits in academic
achievement, productivity, and campus connection significantly exceed the dangers. This
investment is essential for establishing a contemporary, technologically connected learning
environment and ensuring the academic achievement of all students on campus.
