Play as either a Warrior, Belly or Ranger and set off all over the world to unlock all 48 islands. Portal Knights combines role-playing elements with crafting and building mechanics. You can find a world to claim as your own or focus on opening portals and defeating the guardians. The choice is yours. Portal Knights was
released in 2016 by 505 Games. It can be played as single or multiplayer. As you evolve, you gain new skills and can create more powerful weapons and armor. You begin on the relatively peaceful world of Squire's Knoll. This is where you can get used to the controls, create your first recipes and test your skills in battle
against low-level enemies. Each island has its unique mix of enemies, resources and missions. Some have caves, castles or other intersting areas for you to explore. Portal Knights Walkthrough Getting Started Classes Islands Section 1 Section 2 Section 3 Bosses Events Portal Knights is an action/role-playing game
developed by Keen Games and released by 505 Games on Steam in February 2016 for Early Access. It came out of Early Access on May 18, 2017. Portal Knights can be played as either single or multiplayer with each person choosing to be either a Warrior, Ranger or Mage. Each class has its own unique abilities and
craftable elements. In December 2016, Portal Knights was awarded the award for Best Online Games 2016 and nominated for best game design and best technical performance. From Portal Knights Wiki Most of the better weapons and armor can be found in coffins at the ends of dungeons. Finding portals to other
islands can be tedious. Arcane Compass is your friend! If you look closely at the animation when using the compass, you can judge not only the direction of a portal and its color, but how far away it is and whether it is below or above you. A small world makes it easy to find portals so you can move on quickly through the
game. A big world has much more resources available for mine and collect. You can make up to three worlds and use your character in any of them without penalty. Explore! Just digging around gets you XP. (Periodically falling from blocks that you break) Need to dig down? Select the pick, aim straight down just below
your feet and hold down the action key. You want to dig and drop down at the same time. It's smarter to dig down one or two blocks in front of you instead of directly down. You never know if the edge of the world is underneath, or a big drop that could kill you! Need to climb up? Select a dirt or sand block, aim straight
down on your feet and quickly click the action key. Your friends (and your future self) will always appreciate a set of stairs. Make them easy by aiming diagonally upwards with Mining Drill. A Mining Drill is very fast to explore underground. It cuts through up to seven blocks at once! It's also a good way to stay alive by
digging faster than the water can fill air blocks. The mine drill is best for use only on dirt blocks. It's easier than you think to build a bridge using dirt blocks to get to abandoned islands. You don't have to place each block one by one. Switch to first-person view and hold down the block location button as you move on. If you
see that you are moving too fast for the location and you are about to overshoot the bridge, release the button very briefly to move on and press it again. This technique is excellent for building structures as well. You can place or break tiles up to 15 blocks away from you in first-person mode. Another good way to reach
high places or far away from landmasses (or just move around faster) is the use of rockets or rolls of teleportation. Both can be made or found as drops from Creatures, but rockets can also be purchased from Razzo. On the world map there will be weak, partial lines indicating which maps are connected via portals. If
world A is connected to world B, world A will have the line that originates from it going towards the world B. World B will not have a line going back to world A. This indicates the direction of possible portal travel, and that means you should not look for a portal on world B that goes to the world A. Every new island you are
going to discover will be one level higher than the last of that part. You can make a particular island have higher levels by ignoring it to later or lower level by detecting it before. Start yourself out of the water by rolling and jumping up and forward at the same time. Using a weapon with a type of injury that counts one of
your enemies will make your life easier (or harder if you use the kind that it can resist). Typically, the order is Fire > Earth > Electro > Water > Fire. Most creatures that do melee damage can't reach you if you're 2 (or more) blocks taller than those. Beware though, some of them can jump up to four blocks high
to catch you. Enemies will never follow you and drop down a place where it does harm to them. It's a good way to escape if you have HP to survive the fall. Even tougher creatures die almost instantly if they are completely immersed in water. Try to lure them into it. Any skill or attack with an area effect can damage
enemies over blocks or walls. Get out of mana points too fast? Moonstone Blocks releases a mighty Mana Potion by destruction. It is also a good way to mark places you visited (they will be dark). All resources have a purpose. Create chests and save everything until you find out what you need. Choose a world to create
a temporary or permanent base to insert all the chests for a centralized storage. Your coffins and buildings will not be damaged or looted by enemies. If you need a specific metal resource for crafting, you know that the first place you find will have the lowest density of that ore. Quickly move to next Iceland where you find
it will be much more efficient overall. You will find a higher density of stone, ore and pearl pockets the lower you go at the level. Watch out, it's dangerous to dig straight down! If you absolutely need to have as much storage space as possible, higher level Mining Drills are decent general use tools. They may not be as fast
as dedicated tools, but the expanded excavation area makes a lot of difference. Just remember to just do it where you don't need precision. Lighting can be difficult in this game. You need to place torches everywhere if you don't want to hold one in your hand all the time. One trick is to make a Miner Helmet (Workbench
II) and place it in the vanity head slot. You still get the stats from the main headpiece, but you will also get the light from the Miner helmet. Some weapons give a slight to moderate glow, especially belly guns. With Alter II and above you can create Wisp potions that provide light. Holding a torch in your hands provides
brighter and longer light than placing a flashlight on the ground or on a wall. The asteroid event provides five asteroid core blocks upon completion. These blocks will produce purple light wherever they are located. Some things don't produce light even if it seems like they should. (Ex: Glowing sandstone block and Halo)
Wondering what to improve next? Priorities remain the same throughout the game: 1-Get each type of crafting station, 2-Enhance excavating tools, 3-Enhance weapons and armor, 4-Level your crafting drives. Unlike other games, the choice between first and third person views is not just a preference. You want to switch
frequently between these display styles. Get used to both. Struggle is much easier in the third person. Construction is much easier in the first person. The timers for random events in worlds begin when you first look at the planetary map. Each planet/world has its own event system, so you can have up three mission
events at a time, as there is a maximum creation of three worlds at a time. From Portal Knights Wiki Leave the familiar world behind and enter the wonderful unknown with Portal Knights! The problem with sandboxes is sometimes figuring out where to start building sandcastles. Or when it comes to role-playing games like Portal Knights, what to do first and where to set up shop for all the crafting you're eventually going to do. Paralysis of too many choices is a real thing. Nevertheless, despite the large
number of things you can do while exploring the islands, there is a common thread to each universe you create in Portal Knights. The islands may look different every time, with things in different places, but the overall core of what you need to do at the beginning of a new game is the same. With that in mind, we've put
together a little review of what to expect and do once you've just started. Before you get lost in the sand, so to speak. It doesn't take long to choose gender, class, appearance and names As creator of characters in Portal Knights. You choose only a gender, then a class. There are three to choose from: Warrior – Uses
melee weapons and has cries that can strengthen allies and weaken enemies. Requires high constitution and strength. Ranger – Uses bows and other varied weapons. Primary properties are Agility and Dexterity. Belly – Uses wands or staffs, and can throw spells (of course!). Need high wisdom and intelligence.
Appearance options include hair and beard styles, skin tone and eye and mouth shapes. So just choose a name and you're ready to go. Select or create a universe For the sake of argument, we assume this is the first time you play. Hit 'Create' to start a whole new universe, and then select a name for it. If you have a
device with enough memory, you can also use the slider to select Large Islands instead of the default normal size. Few lay of the country The first NPC you should seek out is Cyrill, who hangs out of a tower. If you climb the steps to the top, you can get a look around first island, which is useful for finding all the other
NPCs. Help Cyrill defeat the monster in the basement Cyrill has a treasure in the basement, but he is afraid of the monster who guards it. Take him up on his offer to keep the treasure by defeating the fallen soldier (a skeleton). Be sure to break all the pots in the basement for useful items, and then click on the map in the
inventory and portal to kill back to the spawning point. Help Robert fix his things An old man named Robert lives in a half-finished house. He will ask you to find some refined wooden blocks in crates inside the house. Once you have them, first help fix the walls by choosing refined wooden blocks and placing them where
there are missing blocks. Robert also wants help fixing his broken workbench. To do this, you need four three logs – you can get them from any tree. Just keep pressing it until it chops down and turns into logs. Then return to the Workbench, press it and press the Upgrade button. The upgraded Workbench can be a
useful place to create items until you have a separate location. Talk to Elise and get a pickaxe Elise is at the entrance to a mine. She tells you how much easier it is to extract stone and minerals with a pick, but you need to make one first. You will need four boulders and two wooden logs to make a stone pick. You can
mine boulders by hand in the mine (it takes a while, so stay on it, and watch out for monsters) and Wood Logs from all three as you did before. Then tap the inventory and layering tab that looks like a pick. Tap Layer, then tap Stone Pickaxe to add it to your inventory. Bonus tip: If you take your new Stone Pickaxe back to
Elise's mine, you can quickly mine the rest of the boulders down there and find a treasure chest behind them. Talk to Rupert and repair the portal Your last task on the first island is to repair the broken portal, something you will do a lot of while continuing to play Portal Knights. Rupert's standing nearby. To open the
portal, you need to create and replace the four missing Blue Portal Stones. You can do it by defeating enough Green Slimes around the island, as you need two Blue Portal Stone Shards to create each Blue Portal Stone. Once you have Blue Portal Stones, just place them in the missing places in the portal to activate it.
You can then go through it to the other island, although you will probably earn enough experience to reach level 2 before you do so. That should be all you need to be well on your way in Portal Knights. Happy adventure! Adventure!
