II. ASSESSMENT:
1. Of all the four divisions of art study, choose at least one that you preferred to conduct
a study about art. Explain also why you choose this art study.
I would like to conduct study about art history, Art history is all about knowing where we come
from and where we’ve been, from the perspective of works of art. Art history is also about
knowing how art has changed over time. Learning about art history can be fun, and the most fun
part about it is uncovering the story behind the art piece. Looking at a picture, performance, or
physical object, you get to be a detective searching for meaning behind what you see in front of
you. You get to find the story behind the picture.
Art History Is Your History, indeed, we are all part of the human race, so any piece of art
created by humans is technically our history. But beyond that, make art history your own by
studying more about the art history that came specifically from your culture or your ancestors.
You’ll gain a deeper understanding of your past and your present self if you can connect to art
works of your people’s past.
2. If you’ll become an artist someday, what genre of art you preferred to do? Why?
I prefer to become a literary artist, The power of literature is that it is created as an output for the
thoughts of a person. It enables us to share information about anything in a way that can’t be
expressed through speech. By writing we find a way to speak about our feelings, ideas,
experiences, and whatever else may come to our minds. In the same way we can read the
thoughts of others. This creates an amazing example of communication that spreads through
thousands of years and countless people.
Literature allows a person to step back in time and learn about life on Earth from the ones who
walked before us. We can gather a better understanding of culture and have a greater
appreciation of them. We learn through the ways history is recorded, in the forms of manuscripts
and through speech itself. In addition, a literary works may inspire, enlighten, and helps other to
become aware in such thing like how Jose Rizal uses his pen to wake up the Filipinos to fight
for our freedom.
