DTC B2271 IGNITION HOLD MONITOR MALFUNCTION

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This DTC is output when the IG output circuits inside the power source control ECU are open or short.

DIAGNOSTICS – PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 CHECK DTCS

(a) Delete the DTC (see page 05–2438).


(b) Check for DTCs again.
OK: No DTC is output.
NG Go to step 2

OK

END

2 INSPECT FUSE (AM1, AM2)

(a) Remove the AM1 fuse from the instrument panel J/B assy.
(b) Remove the AM2 fuse from the engine room J/B.
(c) Measure the resistance.
Standard: Below 1 Ω
NG REPLACE FUSE

OK

3 CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU – BODY GROUND)

Wire Harness Side (a) Disconnect the P6 ECU connector.


(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
P6 Standard:
Power Source Control ECU AM2
Tester Connection Specified Condition
P6–33 (AM1) –
10 to 14 V
Body ground
P6–12 (AM2) –
10 to 14 V
Body ground
