DEFINITION:

The method statement will describe the methodology of SUNKEN FILLING (AAC BROKEN
BLOCK & SCREED CONCRETE) work.

Metal works activity comprises of following steps

1. TOOLS AND MACHINERIES:


 Masonry trowel
 Aluminum straight edge
 Spirit level
 Line dori
 Measurement box (1ft x 1ft x 1.25ft)
 Level tube
 Wheel barrow
 Broom stick
 Sponge
2. MATERIALS
 OPC Cement
 Sand
 AAC Broken Block
 20mm Aggregate
 12mm Aggregate
3. METHODOLOGY:
1.AAC BROKEN BLOCK FILLING:
 The surface to be water proofed should be prepare thoroughly by chipping all cement mortar
deposits / loose materials, dust etc. using a chisel, wire and coir brush & clean the area
thoroughly with water.

 Open Slab area cracks if any visible to be clean and fill the joints with non- shrinkable grouting
material as per specified instruction at waterproofing manufacturer.

 Mark the reference level at the sunken four corner area.

 AAC Broken Blocks Filling Top Level Button Mark to be fixed at four corner area, slope level
also to be verify as per drawing specification.

 Check the levels an thickness of the Sunken filling area.

 Before starting the work to be get the clearance at client.

 Broken AAC Block size to be followed 25mm to 50mm.


 Mix proportion to be followed as sunken filling area 1:5:10 (one cement and five parts of M.sand
and Ten parts of AAC Broken Block) on Mixture machine or using Forma box for manual
mixing with MS sheet.
 Moist the surfaces and cement slurry should be applied before sunken filling to reduce the water
loss due to absorption.
 Top of the surface should be level by straight edges to control undulations.
 Levelling top surface by tamping with wooden Rammer.
 Brooming after drying of sunken AAC Broken Block Filling Area top surface.

2.SCREED CONCRETE:
 Cleaning AAC Broken Block Filling top surface area thoroughly with water.

 Screed top level button fixing at four corner area, slope level also to be verify as per drawing
specification.

 Check the levels an thickness of the screed concrete.

 Sequence of concreting has been planned and sufficient labour & Materials to be deployed.

 Before starting the work to be get the clearance at client.

 Moist the surfaces before concreting to Reduce the water loss due to absorption.
 Mix proportion to be followed as sunken filling screed concrete area 1:2:4 (one cement and two
parts of M.sand and four parts of coarge aggregate) on Mixture machine or using Forma box for
manual mixing with MS sheet.
 Levelling top surface by tamping with aluminum straight edge.
 Brooming after drying of screed concrete top surface area.
 Curing should be ensure 7days for OPC cement.
