A 6-session class taught at the Black Hawk Children’s Theatre. Using creative drama techniques
such as object transformation & role play, students used their bodies & voices to create big
characters in bold settings which strengthened their storytelling skills.

Autism Speaks Grant Project • Grant Assistant


Fall 2012-Spring 2013
The grant, written and executed by UNI Professor Gretta Berghammer, was designed to integrate
drama based activities into spectrum specific classrooms around the Cedar Valley, working with
students ranging from pre-k to 5th grade.
Duties included: assisting with 3 lessons per week, preparing costumes and supplies for lessons,
compiling data on implemented ABA teaching strategies, and documenting student progress in
social and behavioral development.

Kaleidoscope Youth Series • Student Teaching Artist


Fall 2013- Spring 2015
A part of the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center’s programming for young audiences
ages k-5.
Responsibilities included: Building lesson plans and drama activities relevant to each show’s
themes, ideas, and messages. Teach pre and post lessons at surrounding schools to both prepare
and review their theatrical experience, learning goals, and drama skills connected to the
production they had seen.
