recap regarding our lesson yesterday. May I ask everyone what did
we discuss yesterday? About motions of the earth teacher
    Very good!
Now, I will ask you a question to make sure if you still
remember our lesson yesterday.
                                                                      24 hours teacher
How many hours does the Earth rotate to complete one
rotation?
Wow very good Von! 365 days teacher
How many days does earth rotate to make one full revolution?
      Correct! Very good!
Now let’s move on to our new topic.
                                                                       Yes teacher
Before we discuss our new topic, lets sing a song first.
The title of this song is eight planets, are you familiar with this
song?
Okay very good, please stand and we sing together. Yes teacher
( The teacher play the song about eight planets and the students
join also)
           Did you enjoy the song?
What planets that are in the song? Did you still
remember? Yes teacher
Good job! What else? Mercury, Venus
Very good everyone. Earth , Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,
                                                                      Neptune
Now, I have here a set of pictures. You tell me what you have
noticed or describe what the picture is all about. Is it clear?
(The teacher will show a picture of solar system)
                                                                      Yes teacher

are Planet teacher
Where do you think you can see a planet?
        Excellent John!
Base on the song that we sing and the pictures that I show At the sky teacher
to you, what do you think our lesson this morning?
Good job Hannah! our lesson for today is all about the
planets or the solar system. ( Hannah raise her hand)
                                                                        About planets teacher

Okay, our solar system has a moon.
                                                                                    Moon

( The teacher discuss the solar system)
Our solar system consists of star, the sun, moon and everything
bound to it by gravity – the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, and the dwarf planets such as
Pluto; dozens of moons; and millions of asteroids, comets, and
meteoroids.
Class we also have a sun
What is a sun? Do you have an idea? Marilyn?
        Very good! It brings heat
     What else?
Fantastic Nicole! What else? It brings heat teacher
Good job! It helps to grow our plants because the plants need It brings light to the Earth
light for photosynthesis.
it helps to grow our plant and give us
Class the sun is the center of the solar system and the only star in light and heat teacher
our solar system, the gravity of the sun holds the solar system together.
Everything in our solar system revolves around the sun. Also without a
sun’s heat and light, life on earth would not exist. The sun gives us light,
heat and energy.
Class, the solar system has eight planets.
( The teacher explain the eight planets)
 Planets: Definition:
Mercury - Mercury is the smallest planet and
                                    closest planet to the sun.
                                - Mercury has extreme temperature.
Venus - Venus- is the second planet closest
                                   the sun.
                               - Earth and Venus are considered to be
“sister planets”, they are roughly the
same size and will get 5 and 4 pieces
                                   of the remaining clay.
                               - Venus is the hottest planet
Earth - Earth is the third planet from the sun.
                               - Known to harbor and support life, by
its unique properties such as liquid
                                   water, atmosphere, and an ozone
                                   layer.
                               - It is where humans live

                                   sun.
                               - It looks red because it contains iron
                                   oxide ( rust)
                               - The red planet
Jupiter - Jupiter is the fifth planet from the
                                   sun.
                               - Jupiter is the largest planet in solar
                                   system.
                               - Jupiter and Saturn are sometimes
                                   called the gas giants.
Saturn - The planet with a dust and ice ring.
                               - Saturn is the sixth planet from the
                                   sun.
                               - Saturn is the second largest planet,
                                   with the lowest density.
Uranus - The planet that lays on its side
                               - Uranus is the seventh planet from the

Class, what are the eight planets?
           Excellent!
     Do you have a question?
       Good job!
Okay let’s proceed, now we are having a game. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,
                                                                             Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
            Who is excited?
Class I have here a box, inside of this box has a scramble word ,
you are going to unscramble this okay? None so far ma’am
This game is called “pass it on” when the music stops the one
who holds the box will unscramble the word.
Directions: Unscramble the name of the planets:
( The students raises their hands)
                                                                             Yes teacher
( The students do the game)
       Okay let’s start
( The game is over) Did you enjoy the game ?
       Good to hear that.
Again, what are the eight planets?
Excellent! ( The teacher give good job clap to the students )
Let’s proceed. Now we are going to discuss about the sizes of the
planets.
                                                                             Yes teacher
But before that who among you here have an idea what is the largest
planet? Marilyn?
       Good job!
                                                                             Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,
                                                                             Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
    What is the smallest plane?
Very good! I’m happy to know that you have an idea about the
sizes of the planets.
Now class, if we order the planets by sizes from smallest to largest or
in increasing order they would be Mercury, Mars, Venus, Earth,
Neptune, Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter.
                                                                             Jupiter teacher
 Planets Sizes Mercury
Mercury Mercury – About 1/3 the size of Earth.
                       Smallest planet
Mars Second smallest planet. Bigger than mercury
 Venus Slightly smaller than Earth.
 Earth Larger than Venus.
Neptune Neptune –slightly smaller than Uranus,
                       larger than the Earth.
Uranus Uranus – 4x Earth’s size. Third largest planet
 Saturn 9x larger than Earth.
                       Second largest planet
 Jupiter Jupiter is the largest
                       planet in the solar system.
    Look at the picture
( The teacher discuss the sizes of the planets)
Again class if we order the planets by size from smallest to largest they
would be what?
Always remember class that we have eight planets in our solar. Do
you understand?
And when we arrange the planets according to their sizes from
smallest to largest they would be Mercury, Mars, Venus, Earth, Neptune,
Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter.
Do you understand? Mercury, Mars, Venus, Earth, Neptune,
     Excellent Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter.
What are the eight planets we discuss this morning again ? Irene? Yes ma’am
         Fantastic!
What is the center of solar system? Yes ma’am
