Final Capstone Project Reflection Questions

(Please give specific detailed answers.)

1. In the process of completing your Capstone Project, what did you learn about your subject? What did
you learn about your skill set? What did you learn about yourself?
I learned more about my injury and what causes it and how it affects your body. I learned exercises that
strengthen the muscles that pull on the tendon causing the pain to occour, by strengthening the muscles and
engaging them more will pervent you from relying on your tendons so much and allow them to relax a little. I
was also shown the proper way to do the exercises that were provided to me to ensure that I am not hurting
myself more and working the right muscles.
2. How is your project relevant to you? How is it relevant to the school? How is it relevant to the
community?
My project is relevant to me because I have been suffering from the injury for close to four years and I have
worked endlessly to recover from it. It has been a long journey and I still have work to be done. This project is
relevant to the schooland community because I am showing exercises that they can do to start off their
workout journeys and providing many ways that you can do the exercises whether it is at the gym or at home.
3. What impact did your Capstone have on you?
My capstone made me realize that I shouldn’t be scared to share what I am passionate about and help others
to make them feel better about themselves and get active.
4. What aspects of your project are you most proud of?
I am most proud of posting on the page. I have always struggled with speaking infront of people and sharing
the knowledge that I have about topics fully. I think that having it as a video helped me with the pressure I felt
about speaking up and having people watch me.
5. What was a difficulty you encountered while researching your Capstone project? How were you able to
overcome those obstacles?
I had trouble with getting to the gym. with me not having my lisence and my mom having troubles with her car
it was difficult for me to get to the gym and make time to go with work and school work. To help with this
problem I found a gym closer to my house so I can walk there to make it easier to access.
6. What is the one thing you would have changed about your project if you could?
Having a more accessible gym and transportation from the start.
7. What advice would you offer to future Capstone students to help them with their Capstone journey?

To stay ontop of the work that you have and not fall behind in other classes so you have time to work on the
capstone.
