Edge Resilience provides an extra level of resilience to your DIMETRA X Core network. It provides a fallback mode with wide area
communications functionality at the local site if links to the DIMETRA Core are unavailable.
During normal operations, the system is connected by site links in trunked mode. If those links are lost, users at each site will normally
revert to local site trunking and not be able to communicate with the wider network. This also means that dispatchers on the trunked
network won’t be able to communicate via their dispatch consoles with users at the affected site. Edge Resilience installs an Edge
server between the DIMETRA core, a local site and dispatchers. In the event that the links from a local site back to the main DIMETRA
core is lost, Edge Resilience provides dispatchers with a connection to the local site and full communication with the radios on that
