Lion and Rat

The Lion King was napping under a tree when a tiny mouse accidentally ran over his nose, waking him. The frightened mouse begged not to be eaten, promising to help someday. Though skeptical, the lion let the mouse go. Later, when the lion was trapped in a net, the mouse heard his roar and chewed through the net to free him. Thanking the mouse, the lion realized even small friends can be big helpers. They remained good friends after learning kindness and helping others is important regardless of size.

Lion and Rat

Deep in the jungle, the Lion King was taking his day-time sleep under his favorite tree. As he
was snoring loudly in his sleep, a tiny Mouse came running by. The Mouse did not see the sleeping
Lion King and by accident ran over his nose!

The Lion King woke up mad. He grabbed the frightened tiny Mouse with his big paws. The
scared Mouse was shaking hard.

"Please don't eat me!" the Mouse begged. "I'm so small I would barely make a bite. If you let
me go free, I promise I will help you one day!"

The Lion King laughed very loud. "You are too small to ever help me!" But the Mouse looked
so afraid that the Lion felt bad for her. "Okay little one, run along then." And the Lion let her go.

A few days later, the Lion King was walking through the jungle when he got trapped in a big
net! He roared loudly but could not break free. Lucky for him, the tiny Mouse heard his roar and came
running very fast.

"Don't worry Lion King, I can help free you!" Using her sharp little teeth, the Mouse began
chewing a hole in the net. Bit by tiny bit, the hole got bigger until the Lion King could finally escape.

The Lion King looked at the Mouse, very surprised. "Thank you little friend! I was wrong to
laugh at you. You proved even little friends can be big helpers!"

And so the tiny Mouse and the Lion King learned that being kind and helping others matters,
no matter how small you are. And they stayed good friends forever after!
