Service Code P0030:00 (L8-DE) : Diagnostic System

The document describes a service code related to an abnormality in the air-fuel sensor/heater control system. Specifically, the air-fuel sensor/heater control voltage is outside the expected range even though the execution time is greater than the set value. This could be due to issues with the sensor connector, PCM connector, or wiring harness. The fail safe stops fuel feedback control. The repair procedure involves erasing the code and performing self-tests to confirm the issue is resolved.

□ Diagnostic system
• A/F sensor/heater control system: Circuit abnormality

□ Detection conditions
• Even though the A/F sensor/heater control execution time is greater than the set value, the A/F sensor/heater control voltage is
outside the set range.

□ Fail safe
• Stop fuel feedback control.

□ Possible causes
• Defective A/F sensor connector or terminal.
• Defective PCM connector or terminal.
• Short circuit of harness between A/F sensor E terminal and PCM 2A terminal to GND system.
• Short circuit of harness between A/F sensor E terminal and PCM 2A terminal to power supply system.
• Disconnection of the harness between the following terminals.

― A/F sensor D terminal to PCM 2AC terminal

― A/F sensor E terminal to PCM 2A terminal
• A/F sensor/heater malfunction
• A/F sensor malfunction
• PCM failure

□ Procedure to confirm repair completion

1. Erase the service code by referring to the post-repair procedure. (Reference: Post-repair work [L8-DE] (SM1556223.html) )

2. Perform the KOEO or KOER self-test. (Reference: KOEO/KOER Self Test [L8-DE] (SM1556224.html) )

• If no service code is displayed, end inspection by service code.

• If a service code is displayed, check again for possible causes and perform repair completion confirmation steps. If the
service code still appears, replace the PCM. (Reference: PCM removal/installation [L8-DE] (SM1556803.html) )
