Growing a brand to 10K a month

This is my honest plan to get from 0 followers to monetize it to 10K a month.

After consuming a lot of information about growing an audience, and getting fucking
overwhelmed. I know you feel that too.

When I was 11 years old I wanted to be a youtuber. I was excited because I was going to make
myself rich and famous. I spent lots of time imagining when people stopped me for a photo with
them. I started to upload videos with no views. No one watched that crap. Even though I spent a
lot of time editing. My content sucked. That was the first time I realized no one watches shit
content. I stopped that channel feeling sad. I gave up.
Years went by when I suddenly wanted to start uploading videos again. It was around 2020 and
after my last failure. I started to learn how to grow a youtube channel. I got obsessed about
having a perfect profile picture and banner. I spent 3 days doing so. I was tired but this time I
knew I was going to make it. I uploaded 4 videos about science, hoping that one would blow up.
Nothing happened. I saw my little results and disappointed I gave up again but after a few
months I checked my channel again. One video got 8K VIEWS. I thought I was a bug or
something. I closed the app twice and there it was 8K views. IT WAS REAL.

The views didn’t stop there, I was excited. My mom baked a cake for me. I wanted to upload
another video but… I didn’t have the motivation. Even though I gained some traction I didn’t
want to upload another video. It was time consuming. So I let my first “success” die.

I told you this story ‘cause I wanted to make you understand that I always wanted to build a
brand. I didn’t make it due to my lack of consistency and ignorance. You see after these 2
experiences I know that success when it comes to growing an audience lies in two things.
Understanding how to grow. This was my first problem. Being consistent. This was my second
problem after seeing some results. I can’t explain to you what I’ve learned but If you don’t
understand these two fundamentals. You’re not gonna make it.

So, what is my plan after giving up twice?

I won’t choose youtube, just for personal experience but it works in whatever platform you want.
I’ll start growing my audience in X to 1000. How? Niche of one. 3 pillars of content. What does
this mean? Niche of one means you’re your niche. You’re creating for yourself. Find 2-3 topics
you like. When you pick them, make sure they’re not too narrow. For example, your niche is
music theory for guitar players. You should take 2-3 steps wider. Instead of that, you could
choose Music or Art in general. There are more wider topics that most people are gonna be
interested in. That’s why we want to grow on X (or any platform). Your social media is your top
funnel which is the least specific. For that you’re choosing wider topics (later I will tell you how to
talk about your original topic).

By this point you should’ve picked your 3 topics and made them wider from your starting point.
After that you are gonna divide your topic into subtopics. Getting back to our example. Music
could be your wider topic and your subtopics could be music theory, instruments, sight reading.
Something that most musicians would find interesting. After doing that with your 3 topics. The
next part (and the last one of this) is to think about what content to upload around those sub
niches. Our music example could be, music theory for beginners, how to pick an instrument to
learn, and so on. Get as many content ideas as you can. Those are what you’re going to post
for the next 3-6 months. Do it with the rest and we can move on with the 3 pillars of content.

Whenever you upload a content should be in one of the 3 pillars. Content for growth,
authoritative, authenticity.

Growth is straightforward. You want to attract as many people to your content. You are doing that
by making your interest interesting to other people. Get in the beginners mindset. Teach why
they should learn whatever your teaching. Show its relevance.

Authoritative.
