Distance

This document contains 24 problems about calculating train lengths based on their speeds and the times taken to pass poles, platforms, and other objects of given lengths. The problems provide the speeds of trains, lengths of platforms or other objects, and times taken by the trains to pass the objects. Based on this information, the questions ask to calculate the lengths of the trains.

crosses the platform in one minute, then the length of the train (in meters) is Ans :750m
3. A train speeds past a pole in 15 seconds and a platform 100 m long in 25 seconds. Its
length is: Ans: 150m

4. . A train crosses a platform of 120 m in 15 sec, same train crosses another platform of
length 180 m in 18 sec. then find the length of the train? Ans: 180m

5. A train crosses a platform of 150 m in 15 sec, same train crosses another platform of
length 250 m in 20 sec. then find the length of the train? Ans: 150m
6. A train running at the speed of 60 km/hr crosses a pole in 9 seconds. Find the length of
the train. 150 meter
7. A train running at the speed of 60 km/hr crosses a pole in 9 sec. What is the length of
the train? Ans: 150 m
8. A train 800 m long is running at a speed of 78 km/hr. If it crosses a tunnel in 1 min, then
the length of the tunnel is? x = 500 m.
