INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for purchasing the original STOKKE KinderZeat™. Four million original STOKKE
KinderZeat™ are already in use worldwide. It has proven to be a valuable part of making families
come together around the table. We are proud to see families enjoying the chairs in Europe still in
very good condition, after over 25 years of use. They are often passed on from child to child, even
through generations. Please take a moment to fill in the enclosed feedback and registration card.

NOTE: The pre-assembled strap attached to your STOKKE KinderZeat™ should be used with
children between the age of 18-36 months. With this strap attached to the chair, it meets the U.S.
highchair standard ASTM F-404 (American Society for Testing and Materials). This standard includes
testing for stability, restraint integrity, strength and materials.

Side straps
RESTRAINT SYSTEM OPERATION
Always use the restraint system when the seat is in the 1st, 2nd or
3rd slot from the top.
Place child in seat. Pull each side strap around child on each side,
and place in child’s lap. Crotch strap comes up between child’s legs
and is attached to each side strap. Adjust length of side straps to
Crotch strap restrain child in seat. Crotch strap length should be adjusted so the
connector is waist-high.
The front edge of the seat must extend past the front edge of the
legs at seat level.
SEAT AND FOOTREST ADJUSTMENT
Height
• The seat (fig. A) is placed at optimal height (1) when the child’s elbows are level with the table top.
• Footrest (fig. B) is placed at optimal height when the sole of the foot can rest flat on the footrest (3).
Depth
• For optimal depth of the seat, (2) position child’s back against backrest
with seat supporting 3/4 of thigh, leaving comfortable space between seat
edge and back of knee.

After both the seat and the footrest have been properly positioned, place
chair on level floor and tighten all screws.

TEEN / ADULT USE
When used for teens/adults the footrest is used as the seat in groove 4, count-
ed from top to bottom. The regular seat and the lower metal cross bar may
