Schedule Activities to be Carried Out during AMC (Other than OEM’s specifications)
Following activities shall be carried out by the service engineers during their schedule visit and record of
the same shall be maintained at each station,

Monthly All modules are free from rust, dirt & are inserted properly & all screws of cards are
tightened.
All cable terminations are tightened & properly connected.
Physical checking & functioning of Status Monitoring Panel (SMP). If switch OFF any IPS
module (SMRs, DC-DC converter, Invertors, CVT, Transformer) then audio alarm with
indication appears on SMP in ASM room.
Visual checking of relays & its contact.
Checking of all fuses and its indication.
Visual checking of indication of switch.
Ensure identification labels/markers are intact for all the terminals.
Ensure that all the fittings in the racks are intact & adequately supported.
The Earthing wire & its connectivity tightness.
Checked unused slots are covered with blank plates in the housing.
Visual checking of all the indication on EI and sub-systems i.e. EI modules, VDU or Panel.
Voltage shall be checked at Check Points.
Checking of parallelism of DC- DC converter supplying power to EI for load sharing.
Synchronization of EI clock time with Maintenance PC and Datalogger.
Check System changeover and after changeover also keep in record. (Ensure that the system
starts functioning without affecting train operation)
Check Panel to VDU, VDU to VDU & VDU to Panel change over & ensure its working
satisfactory.
Surge protection devices including A, B, C, D class.
Redundancy in communication, DC-DC Converter etc.
Checking of error logs/event logs/data log and other reports shall be available on maintainer’s
computer.
Quarterly Checksums to be verified.
Checking & testing of Emergency crank handle.
Taking back up of VDU logs and keep the same in the safe data storing devices. The periodicity
of taking the backup data shall be decided as per the data storage capacity of VDU.
Measure the earth resistance & it should be less than 1 ohm.
Half Testing of all panel & VDU counters, SM keys, all types of cancellations & emergency
yearl crossover operation.
Yearly Checking of working of spare cards available at stations by plugging in standby system.
Verifying the system working practice as per the latest TAN issued by RDSO / Head Quarters.
The above stated activities shall be carried out as per their periodicity and record of the same shall be
jointly signed by both AMC service engineer and Railway representative.
