Objective: At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:

1. Request appropriate materials and tools.


2. Fill out forms in requesting for carpentry tools and materials as required for a task under
the DepEd Philippines K to 12 Curriculum Guide.

Grade Level: 7th and 8th grade

Subject: Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE)

(1) Review:

 Begin the lesson by reviewing the importance of using appropriate materials and tools
in carpentry tasks.
 Discuss the significance of filling out forms correctly when requesting for materials and
tools.

(2) Motivation:

 Show a video or present a slideshow showcasing the importance of using the right
materials and tools in carpentry projects.
 Engage the students in a brief discussion by asking questions related to the video or
slideshow.

(3) Activity:

 Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with a set of carpentry
tools and materials.
 Instruct the groups to identify and categorize the tools and materials based on their
specific uses.
 Each group should create a list of the tools and materials they have identified.
 Afterward, have each group present their findings to the class.

(4) Analysis:

 Discuss the importance of requesting appropriate materials and tools for a specific
carpentry task.
 Provide examples of situations where using the wrong tools or materials can lead to
poor results or accidents.

(5) Abstraction:

 Explain the process of filling out forms for requesting carpentry tools and materials.
 Discuss the specific information that needs to be included in the forms, such as the task
description, quantity, and specifications of the required tools and materials.

(6) Application:
 Present the students with a real-life problem related to carpentry.
 Ask them to imagine they are tasked with building a small wooden structure and need
to request the necessary tools and materials.
 Instruct the students to individually fill out a form with the appropriate information for
their project.
