Assembling Marlene the Bunny Girl

Add a little bit of embroidery to the eyes.

First use a sport weight Then use embroidery thread If you wish, you could

yarn for the top of the eye. (two strands) To embroider the add some white thread

bottom of the eye and the to highlight the eye.

eyebrow.

Using catania cream stitch a little nose over 2 stitches, between row 8 and 9.
Using the very long yarn tail on one of the arms, sew both arms to the body, using the
buttons (see picture). You may want to use crafting pliers to pull the needle out at the
sides (I find this much easier).

Add the hair. Cut between 150 and 200 strands of yarn (it varies depending on which
yarn you decide to use (I used a sport weight (5ply) yarn in brown). Each strand should
be about 40cm long.

Using embroidery thread, make a few stitches along the back of the head and continue
until you get to the end of the brown part at the front of the head. I do this for two
reasons. Firstly, it makes sure the thread is secure when using it to attach the hair to the
head. Secondly it serves as a guide as to where you need to sew the hair.

For each stitch, I attach a bundle of 4 strands of yarn. If

you are using a different yarn you may need more or less
strands for each stitch. Attach the first bundle to the head
and then continue attaching each bundle using a back
stitch.
I like the hair to be nice and thick, so I attached a row of hair strands (beginning behind
the eye position) onto row 20 and 24.

To make the hat, fold the rectangle and sew the two sides at the back together.

Fold the ends of the ears together and sew them with one stitch. Sew them onto row 2 of
the hat, 12 stitches apart from each other.

To make the braids cut 6 long strands of yarn. Using a needle, thread three of these
strands through the hat on each side. Braid the strands and tie a knot.
Sew a little fastening on the back of the dress or add a button. Put on her dress, boots
and hat.
