Natural and applied sciences are connected together. In terms of Natural Science look for

this in explaining the physical world. According to Hosque, “this includes astronomy, biology,

chemistry, geology, and physics.” (2018) As I previously mentioned in milestone two, we are in

a social epidemic of COVID 19. With the social distancing, our leaders are telling us to do, we

have negated the everyday socialization of being social. We ask “how are you today”? Meaning

do you feel well, are you happy today? etc. What if I say on a scale of one to ten, ten being the

best how do you feel. Now I am measuring on a basic scale of familiarity with your feelings of

wellness. Through this lens, we can analyze more in-depth of the needs of socializing and find

answers and solutions to fulfill the need to socialize. It is noteworthy to mention that, many

people working in the field of medicine have tried to inform us of ways of coping with the

effects of the COVID 19 pandemic. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Center

for Disease Control and Prevention states how you respond to stress during the COVID-19

pandemic can depend on your background, your social support from family or friends, your

financial situation, your health and emotional background, the community you live in, and many

other factors. The changes that can happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ways we

try to contain the spread of the virus can affect anyone. (U, 2020)

Historically, social distancing was also used interchangeably to indicate physical

distancing. However, social distancing is a strategy distinct from physical distancing behavior.

Pandemics can be stressful. When we think about Social wellness and COVID 19 what comes to

mind is thank goodness we have computers and cell phones to use social media platforms. Using

technology is now more pertinent than before. We can use our cell phones to call someone to

read a book shop, take pictures ad videos to share with others. In fact, by having cell phones and

computers we can continue to be sustainable for our families by working remotely from home

our car a park, etc. This would not have been possible without the use of computers and cell

phones. We even carry more personnel information on our cell phones and computers now if you

think about that our usage of this technology. We can retrieve such information by a swipe or

touch of the screens. There are so many other usages we can use with these items besides what I

have mentioned. Doctors have faster access to files and can consult with other resources faster bu

utilizing the computers ad cell phones internet. Additionally, the technology of computers is able

to function faster and more accurately than humans. They also have the ability to imitate human

behaviors ad characteristics in a more efficient manner. (Ray, 2018)

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic may be stressful for people. Fear

and anxiety about a new disease and what could happen can be overwhelming and cause strong

emotions in adults and children. Public health actions, such as social distancing, can make people

feel isolated and lonely and can increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary

to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Coping with stress in a healthy way will make you, the

people you care about, and your community stronger. (Gujral, 2020)
