THE CRYING STONE
Hello everyone,i hope everyone is in good health, don’t forget to pray and stay healthy. First
of all, I would like to say thank you very much to God, Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, Tuhan
Yang Maha Esa who has already given his blessing and mercies to all of us. Thank you also for
all of you for giving me his golden opportunity so I can tell a story about ‘’THE CRYING
STONE’’
And here is my story…..
Long time ago, lived a girl with her mother at a montain near a town in Kalimantan. The
girl’s named was Darmi. Darmi is very beautiful girl. But she never helped her mother. She is
very lazy and spoiled girl.
One day, her mother Darmi to accompany her to the market. “Oke…but, I don’t want to
walk beside you, you have to walk behind me’’. With a sad heart, her mother agreed.
On the way to the market, people asked “Hei, beautiful girl. Who the old woman?” “That she
was her servent” Her mother was very sad. But, she couldn’t anything.
Then, she said to Darmi : “Darmi….why don’t you think of me?
And Darmi said : “Mom…I have to do that. We look so different!!
Her mother couldn’t bear the pain anymore. She prayed to God to punish her dougther’s
“Oh God, I can’t stand of my dougther’s behavior. Please, give her a punishment to make feel
sorry for what she has done to me”
And God answered her prayed. The girl began to be panic “Mom…please, forgive me. I’m
sorry”. Said the girl. But, it was to late.
Finally, her whole body turned into stone. Until now, people can still see “CRYING
STONE or BATU MENANGIS”
Well, everyone from the crying stone story we get learning, that is…
We should not disobey our parents, because they are the ones who care for and raise us.
