               From the Test Protocol, it can be seen at which line voltage the MULTIX PRO system was
               tested. The standard connection is 2-phase, 400V, 50/60 Hz. If an adaptation needs to be
               made to the local line power, proceed according to the points marked with an asterisk (*)
               in the wiring diagrams. The Test Certificates are filed in Register 9 of the subsystem
               binder.
                     CAUTION        After switching on the system, the voltage to the light localizer
                                    lamp in the collimator must be checked immediately, for this see
                                    the chapter "Programming the System", the point "Checking the
                                    Lamp Voltage in the Collimator".

               If a change to the position of the Bucky wall stand is made on-site, the following procedure
               must be performed:
               • Select the following routine in accordance with the SSW:
                    - Function groups: Bucky wall stand
                    - Adjustment of BWS position to table.
               By agreement with the customer, it is possible to individually adjust the table lift (adapta-
               tion to the existing bed height, etc.). This position (working position) can be driven to auto-
               matically from below or from above.
               • To do this, select the following routine per the SSW:
                 -   MULTIX SSW
                 -   Adjustment
                 -   Calibration
                 -   Function groups: Host Table
                 -   Adjustment of the customer-specific Lift Stop Position
                     NOTICE         If the Table Lift Stop Position is changed, the reference SID set-
                                    ting must be readjusted in the changed position since otherwise
                                    there will be two table lift stop positions.
               The kick switch for the table longitudinal-transverse brake can be configured as a "Dead
               man’s switch" or as a sensor.
               • Select the following routine in accordance with the SSW:
                 - Function groups: Host Table
                 - Adjustment of the table key type
               • In this regard, please see the adjustment instructions and tables in the "Manual
                    Collimator" connection diagram:
                    G 052G-1B-1.
               • If the customer only uses cassette formats in “inch”, then the scale in “inch formats”
                    supplied must be affixed over the scale with “cm formats”.
                    - The original film must not be removed!

               Checking the Lamp Voltage for Collimator Model G052G (1 and 2/Fig. 2)
               • With introduction of the new power supply in the Multix table beginning with Serial
                  Number 3001, the light localizer lamp for the G052G collimator (1 and 2, Fig. 2) can be
                  controlled in controlled or uncontrolled mode.
                  Programming is possible using S1.4 in the G052G collimator!
                  - Controlled mode = voltage stabilizer (S1.4 = ON)
                  - Uncontrolled mode = direct power supply from the transformer (S1.4 = OFF)

               • Check for correct connection of the collimator at T1.M8.X3 on the transformer (1/Fig. 4):
                    -   MULTIX PRO M8X3.35 = 26 Volt (AC) factory setting
                    -   Reserve M8X3.36 = 27 Volt (AC)
                    -   MULTIX TOP M8X3.37 = 29 Volt (AC) factory setting
                    -   Reserve M8X3.38 = 30 Volt (AC)
               • Remove the cover over the light localizer lamp.
               • Switch on the collimator light localizer and measure the voltage (23.5 Volt) directly at the
                    lamp base (1/Fig. 3).

               • Switch on the collimator light localizer and measure the voltage (23.5 Volt) directly at the

               Release all the brakes described below at the control unit (1/Fig.1).
               • Press the          key; the longitudinal brake is released.
                    The motive forces must be: ≤ 40 N
               • Press the       key; the vertical brake is released.
                    The motive forces must be: ≤ 40 N
               • Press the       key; the rotation brake is released.
                    Rotation movement must be smooth and easy (no noise).
               • Carry out the table movement checks in accordance with the MULTIX PRO Operating
                    Instructions.
               • The EMERGENCY STOP button blocks all motorized movements.
                    - To release this, turn the button 1/4 turn to the right.

               • Position the tube assembly with a vertical beam path approx. 1 m above the floor.
               • Switch on the light localizer and mark the position of the light field on the floor.
               • Use the knobs (1/Fig. 2) to collimate a narrow light field in the longitudinal direction.
               • Switch on the light localizer and move the tube unit to the max. SID; when doing this,
                 check the drift of the light field.
                 - Drift may be a max. of 5 mm.
               Correction:
               • Remove the tube assembly housing (1/Fig. 3) of the collimator (2 panelling screws).
               • Loosen the 2 Allen screws (2/Fig. 3) approx. 2 turns.
               • Loosen the two set screws (3/Fig. 3).
               • Adjust the tube assembly on the longitudinal axis.
               • Retighten the 2 Allen screws and set screws.
               • Check the light field drift.
               • Reinstall the tube assembly housing.

               • Position the tube assembly with a vertical beam path approx. 1 m above the floor.
               • Switch on the light localizer and mark the light field on the floor.
               • Use the knobs (1/Fig. 4) to collimate a narrow light field in the transverse direction.
               • Switch on the light localizer and move the tube assembly to the max. SID; when doing
                    this, check the drift of the light field. Drift may be a max. of 5 mm.
               Correction:
               • Remove the cover panel from the tube assembly support arm (1/Fig. 5).
               • Loosen nut M6 (2/Fig. 5).
               • Release the rotation brake at the keyboard and adjust the eccentric bearing (3/Fig. 5); .
               • Retighten the nut (2/Fig. 5).
               • Reinstall the cover panel.
               • Mark the center of the tabletop in the longitudinal direction (e.g. using a piece of string
                    stretched across the table).
               • Switch on the light localizer.
               • Adjust the line localizer centering cross to the mark.
               • Move the column over its complete range of movement and determine if there is any drift
                    in the longitudinal direction (tolerance: less than/equal to 5 mm).

                        NOTICE       Handle the 10-turn potentiometer carefully and do not over-turn it.
                                     The MULTIX PRO is supplied with a loose toothed belt. When
                                     moving the column, make sure that the toothed belt does not
                                     become damaged.

               • Use the tape measure in the collimator to set an SID of 109.6 cm to the top surface of the
                    MULTIX PRO tabletop (the distance from the film to the top surface of the tabletop is 5.4
                    cm).
               • Select the following procedure in accordance with the service software:
                    - Function groups: Column
                    - Adjustment: Adjustment of the reference SID.
                    - Carry out the adjustment in accordance with the service software.
               • Affix the SID adhesive label (1.15 m) and the line marker from the accessory pack as
                    shown in Fig. 7.
               • Insert the cassette tray completely -> the SID set will be displayed.

               The brake in the stand can be configured as a pulse brake for the 115 cm or 102 cm SID.
               • Carry out the adjustment in accordance with the customer specific adjustments for the
                 column.
               • Adjust the tube assembly to the 115 cm SID marker as shown in Fig. 7.
               • Use the tape measure in the collimator to measure to the top surface of the table top and
                 add 5.4 cm (distance: top surface of tabletop - film).
               • Enter the displayed and the measured values in the Test Protocol under Point 5.2, Bucky
                 A, (MULTIX table).
                 - Determine the difference and enter this value in the Test Protocol.
                 - The difference may not exceed 17 mm.
               • In the Test Protocol, Point 5.2, check off the field "Checked during startup" .

               • Position the tube assembly at the Bucky Wall Stand as shown in Fig. 8.
               • Use the tape measure in the collimator to set an SID of 110.9 cm to the table top of the
                    Bucky wall stand (the distance of the film to the table top surface is 4.1 cm).
               • Select the following procedure in accordance with the service software:
                    - Function groups: Bucky wall stand
                    - Adjustment: Adjustment of the SID value to the Bucky wall stand
                    - Enter 115 at the Service PC for the horizontal SID and confirm the adjustment with OK.
               • Affix the SID adhesive label (e.g. 1.15m) and the line marker from the accessory pack as
                    shown in Fig. 9.
               • Swivel the tube unit 90° toward the Bucky wall stand.
               • Adjust the column to the SID mark as required.
               • Use the tape measure in the collimator to measure to the front panel of the Bucky wall
                 stand and add 4.1 cm (distance: front panel - film plane)
               • Enter the displayed value in the Test Protocol under Point 5.3, Bucky B (Bucky wall
                 stand) under FFA1/SID1.
               • Determine the difference and enter the value.
                 - The SID difference may not exceed the values in the following table:

                        NOTICE          The beam geometry has already been completely adjusted at the

               Procedure:
               • Position the central beam so that it is vertical, center the tube assembly to the cassette
                    tray marker and set the SID to 115 cm.
               • Place a center marker on a 24 cm x 30 cm (10’’x12’’) cassette (tape on a metal washer)
                    and a second marker as a side marker (Fig. 12).
               • Load the marked cassette with film and insert it in the cassette tray up to the stop.
               • Use the knobs on the collimator to set a format of 18 cm x 24 cm (8’’ x 10’’) (SID = 115
                    cm).
               • Trigger an exposure (      ; 50 kV; 5 mAs) and develop the film.
               Evaluation:
               • Evaluate the center deviation    ∆    as in Fig. 12 and document this value in the Test
                    Protocol, Point 4.2 "Checked during startup" (Coincidence of Center of Radiation Field
                    and Film Center, Bucky A).
                    - The deviation may not exceed 12 mm at an SID of 115 cm.
               • In the Test Protocol, Point 4.2 check off the field "Checked during startup".

               After completing the check of the DIAMENTOR, continue with the next section of these
               instructions.
               For each application device with a moveable grid, check at which exposure time tg grid
               lines can no longer be seen on the film.
