Hello dear friend!
Welcome to the magical world of amigurumi!
Get comfortable in a cozy chair, grab your favorite
hook and let's begin to work wonders together!
In this pattern, I will show you how to make
Pennywise.
I am very interested in what you can do, so tag me
on social media as the author of the pattern and use
the hashtag #dunaeva_pennywise. I will share your
work in stories.
For inspiration, under the hashtag
#dunaeva_pennywise you can see the finished toys
made by other makers.

It is for personal use only. You own the toys
made with this pattern, so you have the right
to distribute them at your discretion.
We will crochet Pennywise in continuous rounds. It is
essential to crochet tightly: so that there are no gaps
between the stitches. If you can't crochet tight
enough, try using a smaller hook.
Distribute the stuffing evenly around the toy and
stuff it tightly (unless otherwise stated in the
pattern).
When using indicated tools and materials, the length
of the toy will be 11 cm. The size also depends on
your crochet tension.
Abbreviations:
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
dec - decrease
MR - magic ring
hdc - half double crochet
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
(...) - the number of stitches at the end of each round

20 rnd: (3 sc, dec)*6 (24)
21 rnd: (2 sc, dec)*6 (18)
22 rnd: (1 sc, dec)*6 (12)
23 rnd: 6 dec
Cut and fasten off the yarn. Use the
tail to tighten the hole, inserting the
needle into the front loops only.
Weave in the end and hide inside
the detail.
Outline the location of the eyes with pins. Locate them
between the 12th and 13th rounds at a distance of 5 sc.
The length of each eye is 2 sc. Embroider the eyes, using
black floss three-fold. Make a stitch 2 sc long, bringing
the needle out in the middle 1 round above the stitch. Pick
up the stitch and insert the needle at the same point.
After we embroider the second eye, bring the needle 3 sc
to the left between the 12th and 13th rounds (see photo),
from this point begin to embroider the mouth.
Bring the needle 3
sc to the left
between the 12th
and 13th rounds
Insert the needle from the opposite side of the face 3 sc to
the right of the eye between the 12th and 13th rounds.
Form a smile. Secure the smile with a few stitches.
To embroider the red stripes, I used YarnArt Jeans yarn,
split in half. Insert the needle from the back of the head
and bring it out 3 sc above the upper edge of the eye. Make
a vertical stitch, inserting a needle in the middle of the
upper edge of the eye. Bring the needle 1 sc below.
Make a vertical stitch, inserting the needle 2 sc below.
Bring the needle 1 sc to the left in the middle of the stitch.
Pick up the yarn and insert the needle at the same point
(see photo).
Embroider the second line in the same way. Next,
embroider the nose between the 12th and 13th rounds in
the middle between the eyes. Make several stitches 1 sc
wide.
HOOD
Crochet, using mustard yarn.

8 rnd: (6 sc, inc)*6 (48)
9 rnd: (7 sc, inc)*6 (54)
10 rnd: (8 sc, inc)*6 (60)
11-21 rnds (11 rounds): 60 sc
Cut and fasten off the yarn.
Weave in the end.
Put a hood on the head. Place the head inside the hood in
the middle. Pin the bottom of the hood to the head.
Mark the perimeter with pins along which we will sew the
head to the hood. The width of this area is approximately 7
sc, and the height is 5 rows (see photo).
Sew the head on, using the mustard yarn.
LEGS AND BODY
Begin crocheting, using gray
color.
1 rnd: 6 sc into MR
2-4 rnds (3 rounds): 6 sc
Stuff the detail.
Cut and fasten off the yarn.
Weave in the end.
Crochet the second leg in the
same way, except do not cut
the yarn but continue to
crochet the body.
1 rnd: ch 6, attach to the first
leg, 6 sc along the first leg, 6 sc
along the chains, 6sc along the
second leg, 6 sc along the
chains from another side. (24)
2 rnd: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)

Stuff the detail tightly as you
go.
12 rnd: (2 sc, dec)* (18)
Change color to mustard.
13 rnd: 18 sc
14 rnd: BLO 18 sc
Next, turn the detail upside
down. Begin to crochet FLO
(inserting the hook into the
front loops of round 13)
Crochet, using mustard color.

7 rnd: (5 sc, inc)*6 (42)
8-13 rnds (6 rounds): 42 sc
Cut and fasten off the yarn.
Weave in the end.
Next, crochet the edge of the raincoat.
Outline a vertical line from the bottom of the raincoat to
the top. Hook up the sc in the bottom round of the coat,
pull out the loop and start crocheting a braid up along the
coat made with sl st, picking up 1 sc in each round.
Continue to crochet to the very top. Cut and fasten the
yarn. Weave in the end.
FIRST ARM
Begin crocheting, using beige yarn.
1 rnd: 6 sc into MR
Change color to mustard.
2 rnd: 6 sc (6)
3 rnd: (1 sc, inc)*3 (9)
4-7 rnds (4 rounds): 9 sc
Do not stuff the detail.
Fold the piece flat and crochet 4
sc, inserting the hook through
both layers.
Cut and fasten off the yarn,
leaving a long tail for sewing.
SECOND ARM
Begin crocheting, using gray
yarn.
1 rnd: 6 sc into MR
Change color to mustard.
2 rnd: (1 sc, inc)*3 (9)
3 rnd: BLO 9 sc
4-5 rnds (2 rounds): 9 sc
Fold the piece flat and crochet
4 sc, inserting the hook
through both layers.
Crochet 9 sc into the front
loops only of the second
round.
ASSEMBLY
Outline the location of the head with pins. Using mustard
color, sew the head to the body in the place where the
hood is sewn to the head. Watch for symmetry.
Outline the location of the hands with pins. They should be
1 round below the hood. The distance between the hands
is 7 sc. Now, sew them on.
Form a hood in a triangle shape near the face. Pin the hood
to the head in the places where it touches the head (see
photo). Sew the hood to the head with a mustard-colored
yarn, making one stitch at these two points. Do not pull the
yarn tightly on the head so that these stitches stay
invisible.
BALOON
Crochet, using red color.
1 rnd: 6 sc into MR
2 rnd: 6 inc (12)
3 rnd: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
4 rnd: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)
5 rnd: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)
6 rnd: 30 sc
7 rnd: (4 sc, inc)*6 (36)
8-12 rnds (5 rounds): 36 sc
13 rnd: (4 sc, dec)*6 (30)

15 rnd: (3 sc, dec)*6 (24)
16 rnd: 24 sc
17 rnd: (2 sc, dec)*6 (18)
18 rnd: (1 sc, dec)*6 (12)
19 rnd: 6 dec
Tighten the whole picking up the
back loops only. Do not cut the
yarn.
Now crochet into the front loops
only:
2 ch, 6 hdc, sl st into the first stitch
of the round.
Cut and fasten off the yarn. Weave
in the end.
Our cute Penny is finished!
See you soon!
