An account of a true event

It was a cold, windy day in the winter and it was a school trip day. On these days, all classes go to a
trip wherever they want. Our class decided to visit the zoo and see the animals. We went there by
bus and when we got there, we spread out in little groups. I was one of the group’s leader’s, so I
navigated where we are going.

We went around the zoo quite quickly and all of my classmates enjoyed the tour. We saw monkeys,
pandas, seals, kangaroos and all kinds of birds and insects. My personal favourite part was when we
saw a little bird hatching out if it is egg. We were approaching the exit when I thought we still have
time; therefore, we went to see the lion. All of my fellow mates were standing In front of the lion’s
cage, but the lion was sleeping. I knocked on the glass to wake up the lion, however something
horrific happened. The lion woke up and started hitting the glass. I jumped out of my skin. I was so
scared that I screamed and ran out of the lion’s house. My mates burst out laughing, it was so
embarrassing. I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.
