Notes :
A pretty little tree, perfect for garlands, gift tags or to hang on the

The Christmas tree measures 7x6.5cm.

You will need:


3mm hook
Six pretty coloured yarns (I used a variety of Phildar Cotton 3)
Sparkly yarn (I used Phildar Myriade in Champagne)
Needle for sewing in the ends
Scissors

UK terminology used (US in brackets):


Magic circle
Chain - ch
Slip stitch - ss
Double crochet - dc (sc)
Treble crochet - tr (dc)
Double treble crochet - dtr (tr)

Make a magic circle (1)

Round 1 : (2)
Ch3 (acts as tr), work 3tr, ch2, 4tr, ch2, 4tr, ch2 into the circle, tighten, join
with a ss to ch3.

Round 2 : (3,4,5)
Ch4 (acts as 1tr, ch1), * into next ch2 space, work 4tr, ch2, 4tr, ch1
Repeat * once more

Work 4tr, ch2, 3tr into next space and join to ch3 with a ss.

Round 3 : (6,7,8)
Ch3 (acts as tr), work 3tr, ch1 into same space,
Work 3tr, 1dtr, ch1, 1dtr, 3tr, ch1 into next space, ss into the middle of 4tr
from R2, ch1,
Work 4tr into next space, ch1, ss into middle of 4tr from R2, ch1,
Work 4tr, ch2, 4tr, ch1 into next space, ss into middle of 4tr from R2, ch1
Work 4tr into next space, ch1, ss into middle of 4tr from R2, ch1,
Work 3tr, 1dtr, ch1, 1dtr, 3tr, ch1, join to initial ch3 with a ss

For the trunk :


Ch3 (acts as tr), work 1tr into the top loops of the next 3tr’s ,
Work 2dc along the side of the 4th tr,
Ss into top loops of fourth tr (R3) and fasten off.

Sew in the ends and enjoy x

Star make a statement with this super star (pictured). You might find it

a little big for your trees, but pretty anyway.

Make a magic circle

Round 1 :
Ch3 (acts as tr), work 9tr’s into the circle join to ch3 with a ss,

Round 2 :
Ch3 (acts as tr), work 2 tr into next space,
Work 3tr into each space, join to ch3 with a ss.

Round 3 :
*Ch1, work 3tr, ch2, 3tr, ch1 into next space (in between two sets of 3tr), ss
into next space,
Repeat * 4 times and join with a ss to ch1. Fasten off.

Teeny Tiny Star if you prefer super simple and a little bit less

WOW!
Make a magic circle
Ch4, ss into magic circle
* Ch5, ss into magic circle

Repeat 3 times and ss to magic circle ss, fasten off.
