Part 1
1. Whenever I have free time, I often watch a movie I like on the web, it can be an action
movie or a comedy movie. I like watching movies because it helps me entertain and relax
after a long day of studying and working. I usually spend 2 hours watching movies in the
evening after I finish my homework and then go to bed at 11:30 p.m.
2. I prefer to play outdoor sports such as football, basketball, and swimming more than
indoor sports because I enjoy the outdoor atmosphere more and these sports do not
require too much expensive equipment or facilities.
I like swimming the most because I like the cool feeling of water when I swim, it helps me relax,
especially on hot summer days, I like swimming even more. Also, because of my passion for
swimming Even in winter, I can swim because there are four-season indoor swimming pools
In my opinion, Playing sports helps people stay in shape, teaches you how to organize your time,
boosts friendships, and builds relationships with your peers. Through athletics, you gain skills
that can best be acquired on a court, track, or field.
Part 2
if I have the right to choose an optional subject to add to the curriculum for secondary students in
my city, a swimming course is my first choice. In reality,Vietnamese students have a
sedentary lifestyle and they seldom do physicalactivities to make them strong. They study
at school during the daytime and go toextra classes in the evening. Whenever they have free
time, they play games, seefilms or listen to music. Additionally, according to some statistics, the
main reasonfor the high rate of drowning deaths in Vietnam is that children do not
haveswimming skills. Therefore, a swimming course is necessary for them in terms ofhealth
and safety.
I did not choose photography and dancing because in my opinion they are not suitable for them.
Dancing is a nice skill but I think its application in everyday life could be less frequent. On the
other hand, I don't think photography will be a practical subject to teach, we can easily learn how
to take photos if we don't know it online instead of learning it in school. Instead, schools should
teach another subject that is more practical and important.
Thus, while all options provide practical skills, I believe swimming offers the broadest benefits,
making it the best choice for an optional subject in the secondary curriculum.
